My least favorite boot
So, I’ve had many foot problems, injuries & surgeries. I now have FIVE boots. I have a home short & tall and an “out” short & tall (outside shoes are not allowed inside my home). Then this last surgery doc said I’d have to SLEEP in a boot. Well, that meant I needed a “bed” boot. Nothing was going in my bed that had been dragged around a floor all day. So I got this one. The liner is so weird. It never feels like it’s in there correctly. The red ball is to press & inflate the air bladders in the liner thus causing a little compression and a lot more support. This works fine on my other boots but this one not so much. I also never feel like I get the fit correctly with the straps. They don’t get tight enough. Overall, I wore it to sleep for about a week and a half. It was torture. I then switched to a rigid night splint that looks a lot like a boot without a front. It’s still not fun but better than this boot. I plan to get rid of it as soon as I’m sure the surgery worked.

This goes by shoe size.. and the inner layer can be washed in the sink!
Ohmygosh!! Better than the one from the hospital! The difference in weight alone helps! With a shoe leveler it’s perfect! Easier, more comfort, and not as heavy! What a difference!

failed after 6 weeks
The boot worked well, until it didn't. After only 6 weeks of normal use the boot stopped holding air in the front, so it did not fit properly and could not be worn. The seller would not agree to take back the boot or replace it, so I would recommend you avoid this one.

Not worth the savings
Very bulky and I cannot get a good fit

Good support, but heavy.
I wear a women's size 9-9.5 wide shoe and ordered the Medium and it fits great with some extra toe room. This covers your ankle and foot well and offers a lot of protection and is a walking boot - so it is heavy and thick which adds height to you, so you need to wear a shoe on the other foot to off set the big difference or you will strain other body parts and cause other injuries if used for any length of time. It is clompy (makes a lot of noise while walking) and without wearing a shoe on the other foot you have a major up/down limp, which you'd have with a walking cast for other heavy ankle boot.Easy enough to put on, with the one exception - pulling the wide hook and loop straps open - they stick very well. The pump up system is nice to help with swelling and to give more stability to your ankle and deeper padding. It takes awhile to get it pumped up to where you need it and you have to pay attention to circulation to be sure it's not too tight and restricting blood flow. Mine seems to leak a little air over time. The release valve works easy enough, but the location put it right under the middle strap, so I have to be sure and keep the padding pulled up while tightening the straps. This rugged walking boot is best for when you need to really keep your ankle still and to protect it from pumps, otherwise there are much lighter walking boots that support and protect your ankle that are much easier to walk with. This boot may be best for a bad sprain in the beginning and then as it gets better move onto the lighter boot and eventually different levels of bracings. I have all the different levels of support as I'm always injuring my ankles and feet (just a cults) and this boot really is for a major injury as it's just over kill for most other needs.
