Love how there is slots for the cables to slide in and out of. Makes a cleaner installation. Two HDMI cable and a 3D transmitter cable fit easily. Nice sturdy product as well. Hanging a 45 pound projector!

Just what we needed.

Chief website says "Chief products are designed and manufactured at the corporate headquarters, located in Savage, Minnesota." I went with Chief because of this statement. I got it today and box clearly says "made in China" I try to buy made in USA things whenever possible and am very disappointed that this isn't. I feel deceived. I'm returning to find one that is made in America. I got an offer from beamupusa to drill holes to fit my projector and their products say they are so I'll probably go that route.It would be nice if Amazon put in country of origin for every product. It should say where assembled and where manufactured.

Went with Chief because of their reputation in the mount industry. Bought this extension to connect the Chief RPA-U inverted ceiling mount and Chief ceiling plate and a Panasonic PT-AE7000U. On the first try, the extension column wouldn't tighten to the manufacturer's recommended 4 threads. Eventually it got stuck to the ceiling plate. Amazon sent another one and this time it got stuck to the ceiling plate. Went to Home Depot to loosen it, and they said the threads weren't cut precisely that is why it keeps on getting stuck. He offered to force thread it to the recommended 4 threads but decided to reorder the whole system again. Same thing happened again with the 3rd set.Kept getting stuck in the same spot on both the inverted mount and ceiling plate, the locking nut within the threads. There is a locking hex bolt to keep the extension from unthreading but apparently wasn't cut precisely enough so could never get past this point, which was about 2 threads.Went with the Peerless PPA mount and very happy with it and even saved some money over the Chief system as the Peerless already comes with an extension column.
