Q: Does the CFX3 45L generate much heat when it's running?

Q: Is it better to keep the unit plugged in and running or can it set idle for long periods. Looking at what’s better long term.

i do not run my unit unless I am using it on a camping trip, or to keep extra beer cold at home. This is only an opinion, but I suspect the unit will run longer without failure if it is used intermittently vs continuously

Q: Does dometic warranty work if purchased from this Amazon seller?

I don’t know of any reason why the warranty wouldn’t be good. The warranty comes from Dometic and you would deal with them directly.
