My First Igbo Alphabets Picture Book with English Translations: Bilingual Early Learning & Easy Teaching Igbo Books for Kids: 1 (Teach & Learn Basic Igbo words for Children)

I just got this like a few days ago, did flick through, based on couple of other literature pretty useful for a kid to pick up small parts with imagery.

I bought this particular book 3 times. Gifted someone 1. It’s amazing for beginners. My kids understands my language now. I recommend!

If you are trying to teach the Igbo alphabet this book is a waste of money and inaccurate. Firstly it tries to translate the English alphabet with Igbo rather than just providing the entire Igbo alphabet. There are Igbo letters that are completely missing! Another annoyance is that all the children pictured were Caucasian. I found that completely perplexing considering the most likely audience. This book is going in the garbage!

Ich habe das Buch für meine Kinder gekauft, um ihnen auch Bücher in der Sprache ihres Vaters anbieten zu können. Nun bin ich fassungslos, dass in einem Igbo-Buch ausschließlich weiße Personen abgebildet sind. Deshalb gibt es auch nur einen Stern.

The alphabets are simply written in English. And the pictures are of English descendants unacceptable
