I built a desk with a set of shelves running the length of the desk over the monitor. I have some equipment on the shelf, so left a gap at the bottom of the back to run cords. But, that meant all the junk I had up there sometimes rolled out the back, or I'd grab something and it would knock things all over my keyboard. Honestly I bought these just because they fit the shelves perfectly - not too small with a lot of wasted space, not too big where you have to worry about balancing the load or having the whole thing fall forward. But they've worked well.I mean, they aren't solid wood or anything - you aren't going to store a pile of old laptops in there and expect them to hold up. But for general usage with paper/pens/various cables and adapters/etc they seem like they'll hold up well. The lids fold all of the way back taking up no space, so if you have some oversized items you don't need to use the lids.The only real problem I have is that there is a handle on the front. One handle. I guess to pull it forward. You can't grab it and use it to set the container down on the desk. I'd have put one on each side so it was easier to carry. But, again, you aren't putting 50 pounds in, and it does let you pull it forward enough to get your hands on the bottom to lift it down.

These boxes are sturdy and simple to put together. I was on the fence about ordering 3 but glad I did.I have a junk closet upstairs with all sorts of staple food.I was finally able to put the things in order.Cans in one. Dry products in another and not sure what I'm going to do with the 3rd.Love these!

I have been trying different solutions to what should be a simple puzzle.Otis Redding, who set up a home on our shed and moved inside shortly afterwards to live as a housecat, still has some strange outdoor ways. He tries to kill our headphone wires. He chews the wires in half. Or thirds. Little snake pieces. Otis loves a challenge. I toss a blanket on top. He digs. I drop the headphones into a hanging bag. I have to reset all the controls every time I use it..What worked? This wonderful sealing collapsible box. It's cat proof. It's pretty. The top moves just enough so cats won't sit on it. I can place it next to the wall.Haha! I won!

I got this box for my room since it is little and this box is perfect for me. I would tell people to buy this it looks cute and is functional.

I need 6 of these for my own bedroom, and the package comes with 7 of them. It's so pretty, I used one for another guest room. It's such a cool way to organize my closet. I would recommend it wholeheartedly.
