The Girl Who Never Made Mistakes: A Growth Mindset Book for Back to School for Kids

A Wonderful Story About Letting Go of Perfection
This book is a favorite in our home and classroom. Beatrice’s journey from perfectionism to self-acceptance is told with warmth, humor, and just the right amount of heart. It sends an empowering message: mistakes are part of learning and living. Kids really relate to the pressure to “get it right,” and this book helps ease that by showing how freeing it is to let go and laugh at ourselves. The illustrations are playful and expressive, and the pacing keeps kids engaged. A great read-aloud for starting conversations about growth mindset and resilience.

Great education
Great learning lessons. Love reading this with my children. Teaches them that making mistakes is ok and nobody is perfect. Better to laugh at our mistakes than be upset about them.

wonderful story for child who tries to be perfect
My 4 granddaughter was always worried about making a mistake. She loves this book and now loves to mix things up. She laughs every time we read the story. Cute art work.

Self-reflection is important
Not a big read. When my niece told everyone at the kitchen table about the girl in the book, everyone said that girl is you! I guess it was worth the money.

Beautiful pictures and a wonderful message.
Bright illustrations that go right along with the clever wording in this delightful book. I picked it up because we have a little perfectionist that is growing up in our home. She hates to make a mistake and in kindergarten it created issues. I saw this book and thought it would be the perfect read during the summer between kinder and first. Yes it is. She has enjoyed picking out words she knows and helping read it with me. The hamster in the book is just so cute and the diversity in the friends!! A+ I can not wait to look for more books from this author for our at home book collection.
