A suitable mouse house with some changes
I purchased the extra-large Kritter Keeper for two house mice I caught. Previously, I had a Petco Pet Keeper - Large, which I actually felt was too small for the critters. I did a little research and discovered that they were attempting to nibble their way free by chewing on the top. Mice are gnawers, and wild or house mice will do whatever they can to escape. So, I purchased a 5' roll of 1/4-Inch Mesh Hardware Cloth (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00004RA2L) that can be used to keep out mice and rats from an area. I cut strips (using a wire cutter - and it's not easy) to fit all four sides of the top and used 22 gauge wire that I twisted with pliers to hold it in place. Glue was recommended, but I was afraid of the fumes, so I attached the fencing strips with strong wire instead. So far, so good. So, when I received my new Kritter Keeper, I put the wire on before I put the mice in. Now they have an Alfie Lifestyle small animal playground Kami wooden hideout (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B009EK8QMG) that I kept closed and they converted it into their home, a Superpet small animal nut knot nibbler chew toy (http://www.amazon.com/Super-Pet-Small-Animal-Nibbler/dp/B0002DJEYI) that I stick a few peanuts still in their shells into for them to climb and pull free and an Alfie small animal playground wooden swing (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B008XPG9WW) that they like to climb over around and under. Their water is currently in a low bowl I cut from the bottom of a water bottle, but I have purchased a water bottle for them since I intend to travel and hubby believes they should be exterminated not kept as pets, so he won't give them fresh water or food, and they have a bowl for food and one for treats. I occasionally add a third bowl for fresh or cooked veggies. All the items, except for their food bowls, are chewable, and they have other chew toys to help keep their ever-growing front teeth trimmed. They still look for ways to get out, but not as frequently or as consistently as they did when I first put them in their new home. I'd give the Kritter Keeper 5 stars, but it's not suitable without a strong wire mesh around the top. At least not for wild mice. They will chew their way through the plastic.

Extra Large size allows for cage furniture and exercise wheel for my mouse.
Large enough to install cage furniture(branches. nest, exercise wheel, etc) for my mouse. I was able to rig a water bottle inside of the cage.Initially, the lid fits snuggly but loosens up with use. Creative chewers may chew through the lid if they do not have enough enrichment and interesting chewables. All good.

Very nice
I bought this tank for my goldfish. I will not recommend getting anything less than this size for a fish aquarium. This tank is a 6 gallon tank, and I only have 1 fish in it. I am able to fit in my small filter, 1 ornament and 2 plants and also my air pump tubes. It's great, my fish loves it. I think this is my final upgrade for my fish's home. I tried literally all sizes of the Lee's Kritters except for the mini size. They are all excellent quality and very reasonably priced. I am a college student so it's not realistic for me to have a glass tank in my dorm room. Also I do not want my tank to be super fragile as I will have to take it home over long breaks. This tank is great because it is ventilated at the top, it also has food holders so I put my two cans of fish food on the top and it doesn't slide off.I personally think this is a much better tank than its more expensive alternates, if you are looking to house 1 or 2 small fish or guppies/bettas, definitely get it. It also DOES not look cheap, so it has a nice presentation. Most important thing of all is the air holes on the hood, this is very vital to the health of your fish in promoting good aeration, especially if you do not have an air pump. Ventilated hoods are not common in the more expensive glass tanks with the black hoods.Thank you Lee's Kritter!!

Great temporary gecko housing
We use kritter keepers of various sizes in our menagerie for very young New Caledonian geckos, or as temporary housing for quarantine or cleaning. This particular size (x-large) I purchased for a 14 gram Crestie so I don't have to lug its Exo Terra to our gecko-sitter while we're on vacation. With some cork bark, fake plants, and an adjustable bamboo branch it should be very comfy in here for a few days! They aren't the most durable, but they're lightweight and inexpensive and seem to both hold humidity well and provide good ventilation. The clear plastic also makes for great viewing, but could make a tiny lizard nervous so we will cover three sides in paper to provide more security.I would not keep an adult in here for more than the time it takes to clean its normal tank though - a larger plastic storage tub would be more appropriate. And I don't think this would work at all for a reptile that needs supplemental heating and lighting.

Great for feeder transfer.
I like that these “Kritter Keepers” are vented, lightweight, and easy to transport.

Economic frog terrarium or monarch hatchery.
Nice economic solution for a frog terrarium. I fostered several tadpoles that eventually grew into frogs. I’m keeping them safe for a few weeks before releasing. The lid is a bit challenging to remove but the hinged opening incorporated in the lid reduces the need to remove the lid for feeding. I can get my hand through the opening so it works out. I raised monarchs in this too. The caterpillars climb to the top and can attach to the lid when spinning into a chrysalis. Again....the lid is problematic ...I just leave it loosely covered then because it would damage the chrysalis when wrestling off the lid.

No color choice.
Truth be told I hate the pink lid so much I don’t use this product. What can I say?! It would be great otherwise but there’s no way to pick your color. What you bet is what you get.

Works Great and Fits Perfectly
This was a total life saver. After several mantis eggs hatching a few months ago I had them in different containers. Well out of nowhere and I didn't know another egg hatched and next think I knew I had all these babies in with bigger mantis's. So I took the larger ones out and I having another larger container was able to use this for the babies and then transferred them into the larger mesh container. However since so many of them didn't want to leave the container or were having a good time hanging on the lid, I left it in there for now. It was perfect for the new hatches. Great Value too!

seems to do the job
it's a box for pets and it works well....seems built well and is holding up great...only complaint is it is difficult to open the top latch or take the top off for cleaning etc. other than that it's perfect

excelente
MI TARÁNTULA ESTA VIVIENDO MARAVILLOSAMENTE EN SU NUEVO HOGAR, LA TAPADERA ES DIFÍCIL DE QUITAR PERO EN MI CASO CON TARÁNTULAS NO ES NECESARIO ABRIR EL TERRARIO MUY SEGUIDO ASÍ QUE BIEN.
