Great Fix for a Worn-Out Gear Shift!
As incredible as it sounds, the original material on my car’s gear shift was falling apart from regular wear and tear. I came across the LDYFC Auto Car Leather Gear Shift Knob and felt lucky to have found such a perfect solution.The cover is made of quality leather and looks great once installed. It came with a needle and string, making it easy to stitch it securely and properly—gives it a clean, custom look. The fit was snug, and I haven’t had a single issue since installing it.

Good looking carbon-fiber cover, but check your shifter type first
Ordered the carbon fiber cover to put on my 2013 Escape shifter. The rubber on my shifter had started getting sticky (decomposing?). Fit and finish of this cover is very nice. Looks and feels good.Both pieces of the carbon fiber version come with double-sided tape installed on the inside. I added more, just to be sure it didn't come apart.One note: pay attention to your shift knob before ordering. Some knobs are all rubber and some have a metal piece at the top center. If your shift knob is metallic at the top (as pictured in the manufacturer's carbon fiber image), this cover would be awesome. Unfortunately, my shift knob is completely rubber on the top. The carbon fiber cover did not cover the top center piece of the shifter. I had to cover that section with something else. My fault for not catching that. Still turned out looking good, but I had to improvise a little (only because the original rubber was getting sticky). If your entire shifter is rubber, I would go with the leather covers.

This is just a cover that goes on and tightens likes shoe lace. Nothing else

Absolutely awesome
I don't know why but my shifter on ford fusion started melting (I do live in Florida) and it was releasing this nasty sticky substance, so this easy to sew on cover was a life saver. It comes with everything you need and it's easy to attach it. Good thing.
