Awesome tablet.
Cannot say enough great things about this tablet. No compromises. Its a perfect windows 8 build. You can run any app you want. That being said I would not expect you to be able to run adobe photoshop but everything else is fair game.Screen:Great quality, nice and bright, and can get very dim for dark rooms. I have no problem playing 720p or 1080p mkv or divx files on this tablet with the VLC player. Reading is pleasant on the eyes. You can view the tablet from basically any angle you like.Speakers:Uhh. These speakers are way way better than they have any right to be. Actually quite impressive. You don't even have to turn them all the way to be able to hear it.Wireless:Wireless N at the house. Speeds are great. I have not personally had any issues with the wireless or the bluetooth running at the same time. My speed tests max out my 50mbs down bandwidth.Responsiveness:Tablet is perfect. It runs and runs all kinds of apps. Usually I got my bookviser and my full firefox browser going at the same time. Browsing even big web pages is not choppy. Plays youtube videos right out of the box through the browser. Book page turning is what you would expect. Would caution that at 1gb of RAM you should not expect this to be a multitasking power house.Battery:I have been getting about 7 hours of constant video watching out of the tablet with the brightness turned down to like 25%. Just using the web and reading books, you could expect to get the full 9-11 hours out of the tablet. The best part is when you let it go to sleep, it doesnt waste battery like the android tablets do.

Great Tablet for Some Minor Compromises - Great Value for Money
Once upgraded to Windows 10 I had a lot more respect for this tablet. The windows operating system pretty much turns the tablet into a miniature touch enabled PC. Unfortunately it needs more RAM if it's going to behave like one. With only 1Gb RAM it stutters and staggers a bit and you have to get used to a couple of seconds delay. However, if you're just using it to do simple tablet like functions then you're not going to be disappointed. One thing I did like was the inclusion of a one year free subscription to Office 365, which includes a ITB allocation of cloud storage on one drive, this tablet pays for itself right there.I would also recommend an OTG adaptor that you can plug a mouse in with, you can get by on touch, but if you're like me you'll find yourself using it more like a miniature PC and a mouse just makes that easier.A mini SD slot makes memory expandable to 128Gb, and you can load some/most apps on the external storage. Having said that something seems to have gone wrong with transferring these apps over to external storage with the latest update to Windows 10 and I have not had much luck in shifting apps over. I have ordered a new SD card which will hopefully sort that out.The screen resolution is also a bit disappointing, I would have preferred an HD screen, but at this price it's not too much of an issue. That's the thing with this tablet, you're getting a pretty good package for the price you're paying. You would have to pay much more for equivalent functionality in iOS or Android.Bottom line, a great tablet for the price and if you're prepared to compromise on snappy performance for price and function then you can't go wrong with this tablet.

I really like the Windows platform and the upgrade to Windows 10 ...
This tablet has some goofy power issues (have to hard reboot every so often as the buttons don't respond). Once I figured out its quirks, it does what I need it to do. I really like the Windows platform and the upgrade to Windows 10 has been smooth. Processor could be a little faster, but after all, it's a budget conscious tablet. The kids love it, and I have been using it for school very successfully.

Fine replacement for RCX viking tablet
I bought two of these tablets. The price was right. Initially they functioned right out of the box. It took some getting used to win 8.1 but I have been dealing with the stupidity of Windows 10 so it wasn't too much of a streach. Before I decided to buy this I read questions and viewed ratings. The questions claimed it was easy to upgrade to Win 10. This has not been the case for me. I found it almost impossible or costly. Toshiba does not suppport these any longer. The easy to locate Toshiba sites on the screen did not work. Other than this upgrades worked. Although only a GB of RAM is on the tablet I have had no issues with memory. There is 32GB in memory. Toshiba says an SD can be added up to 64GB. I found the sound output to be good. And Internet to ge just fine, after configuring Win 8.1 and EDGE not to go out on the WEB without my permission. Also I increased the amount of channels and buffers. All in all this is a good replacement for my RCA viking 10 inch which is Android. I don't like the invasiveness of Google.

Find another brand!
To start with, this tablet has no USB port. Not even one. Once I got the tablet and noticed that flaw, I figured I could live with it. Big mistake. It really should have been a deal breaker.I really wanted to love this tablet - I have a friend with an iPad and I watched her magically zip through Candy Crush with her fingers. Not being an Apple person, I decided to try the world of tablets with my go-to laptop company, Toshiba. Big mistake. The screen is extremely temperamental in that it sometimes responds ok, usually poorly and sometimes not at all. (Time to reboot.) Forget an interactive-intensive game like Candy Crush, I'd just like to reliably get on CNN.com.It responds very poorly to a wireless keyboard that is so close to the tablet that they're nearly touching. The battery drains very quickly, even when the tablet is in sleep mode, and replacing the battery is not an option available to end users. I'd have to send it to a repair shop. For now, I use it as a Kindle, but either have to recharge it after an hour or two of use or keep it plugged in while reading.I've purchased several Toshiba laptops for my business and have been quite happy with them, but this tablet really misses the mark.Consider yourself warned.
