An awesome lens for your smart phone
First off, be aware that this is macro only. There are other kit options available that include wide angle and telephoto. This kit comes well packed in a plastic case. The clip is strong and does a good job holding the lens in place. I am using it on an iPhone X but have also tried it on an iPhone 6 plus. I orient the clip so it is braced against the phone so it is less likely to shift. Once in place it does pretty well staying in there. I have found that it does cover the camera icon on the screen and it does cover the one control when the camera is open. This has cost me a picture on occasion but it is not a big deal. the whole set will go in my pocket and it is easy to carry. There are two lenses in this kit. Both are 12X so with both in place you have a 24X image. You get some vignetting from the lens but if you use the screen zoom it takes care of that. Don't zoom too far though or it will quit working. You do have to get quite close to the object, especially in the 24X mode. The picture quality is quite good. Does it match up with an expensive macro lens on a full frame digital SLR? No, but this is inexpensive and the picture quality is better than acceptable. As with all macro lenses any motion in the camera or the object will cause blurring. If a tripod is not available or usable try to brace on something solid to reduce any motion. If using a tripod it can be worthwhile getting a remote shutter release. Another concern with any macro lens is that the depth of field will be quite flat. You can video with these lenses.Pro: small and easily carried.good picture qualityvery fun to useinexpensiveCon: small and easily lostit can shift so you have to reset the lensyou have to get very close to object--not a good idea when object will sting or biteI definitely recommend this lens setHave fun

one of the few "macro lens ONLY" aftermarket lens packages
when I use aftermarket lens packages, I've noticed that the macro lens in that package gets the most use by far. I've also lost or broken a lot of those lenses. I have a Lifeproof Fre SHOT case for iPhone 6 which comes with a wide angle lens that screws right into the case (love it). I don't, however, ever USE the wide angle and was hoping this macro lens would. Well it did and I'm very happy with it. The price was very reasonable too. Olloclip makes a macro-only kit, but the $80 price tag is a bit more than I want to spend. The 24x macro has severe "vignetting" (only the center of image is in focus) and I'm not sure if that's unavoidable when one tries to magnify an iPhone camera that much but it does magnify the parts in focus effectively. Overall I'm pretty satisfied and would buy it again if I lost/broke it. I've included pics of the lens on my phone and some magnified lens of ben & jerry's ice cream and some pills that were laying around.Oh yeah, I DO use the clip when I need close ups on my iPad 10.5" and it fits well.

Not good for phones with multiple lenses
Said it worked on iPhone 11 Pro, but you cannot get it to sit correctly and it’s only for one lens and the pro has three lenses.

Good product but doubt it's utility
It was good but not sure if I would use it on a regular basis. Placement of the lens correctly on the iPhone camera can be a bit challenging. Nice to have product but I am not sure how good it can be utilized on a regular basis.

Super happy with it
Good images —there's definitely blurriness in the corners, but the center is clear and I like the effect. This lens is super easy to put on and remove from my phone, quick and without fuss for a quick shot. I've tried some other iPhone add-on lenses that are just to hard to put on and take off again, so I would tend not to take the trouble to install it for one picture.

SHARP! Excellent image quality, but 24x is difficult to use.
I received the kit last week, and I was eager to go to the field to test it. Finally last weekend I could test the kit.Using both lenses (24x) is very difficult, considering the magnification (I wonder what really "24x" means), and that you should practically touching the subject. So I unscrewed and put the lens with the cap into the box, to test only one lense (12x).The image quality is VERY good, but you have to manage how to get sharp focused subject. I imagine that both lenses + cup is intended to be used more in a lab or studio environment, with controlled light and movement. However, I totally recommend this lense, as it is portable, can be used in a variety of brands, it is easy to attach/detach from the phone. You may check my instagram gallery (rcorteschile), with some shots using Apexel 12x lense. It worth to try!

Can photograph 1/16 objects
I use this to photograph 1/16-1/8" stationary objects. It does take some time to get used to it. My photos are much better after using this for a few weeks. The big quality issue is light. If I photograph something during the day with bright daylight pouring through the room, the photo is so much better than if there is not adequate light. The photo will go from clear and sharp to murky and grainy. Sometimes a nearby bright lamp is just not as good as full daylight flooding the room.
