Sturdy bag that gets the job done
"It's a bag to haul gear", what else is there to say.I specifically got this bag to make it easier to throw gear on the truck when in a hurry, driving the apparatus, or going to a standby. It holds everything well and keeps things organized. I am a bigger guy (so bigger gear) and there is still room enough to hold my full turn out gear plus a second rescue helmet. It is also very non-cumbersome and easy to remove your gear when you do need it for a call - unzip the flap and it is just like grabbing gear out of a locker. The fabric seems durable and has held up so far getting tossed onto the ground and in the dirt on rainy/snowy days. I would recommend this bag for anyone looking for a good gear bag.

Great value
My husband is a volunteer fireman and it's sometimes faster for him to go directly to the call vs. going to the fire hall to get his gear first, but he didn't have a bag to hold his gear in his truck. I was shocked that everything fit including his helmet, bunker gear and boots, as well as some misc. tools and shorts/socks for under his gear. I read some reviews that talked about flipping the bag to get everything out. I see now why that is. I think the zipper was put in where it was (more on the side) to maximize space. This bag is great!

Very solid inexpensive bag
After reading previous reviews about the bag being too small I was very skeptical with ordering but decided what the hell and pulled the trigger anyways. This bag is not too small to fit your turnout gear! It fit my pants, boots, jacket, helmet and mask very comfortably with a little room to spare. I even put my Wildland gear in here! The durability seems nice, only time will tell with that part. The side loading zipper is different and I'm not sure the reason for that design over a standard top zipper which I would prefer though not a huge negative in the grand scheme of things. I did notice as an added benefit that after purchasing this bag, my handlebar mustache grew by 3 inches in length. My fiancé told me I imagined the increase length. Typical response by her. Just buy the bag.

Great bag, not such a great strap adjuster
Bag itself is great. Has more than enough space for gear, the material is solid and doesn’t feel cheap or anything. My only issue is the strap. I adjust it too a tighter setting and in a few carries it slides back to very loose. I wanna carry it around my hips/waist and it’ll slide and then I’m carrying it around my knee. It’s not terrible, but it makes the bag swing around from banging into my knee a bit. I don’t need to carry the bag like that a ton, so it’s not a deal breaker, but yes, be aware the straps adjuster is a bit dingy and will have a mind of its own.

Great Bag! Sturdy& Bug!
I was leery on buying this bag for my son because I thought it was going to be Chinsy, but I listened to the reviews and purchased it. My son is only 15 is in an explorer on the local fire department so he only has boots, gloves, pants a jacket and a helmet but everything fits in with room to spare. It’s really good quality. Hopefully it lasts as good as it seems it will. I will edit once it gets lots of use.

Best bag for the price.
You won't find a more affordable bag of this quality and Amazon is the best place to buy it. I've looked. I have another of the same brand and it's held up to everything. I use this bag for wildland tours, I can fit 2 weeks of clothes in one pocket and my tent, sleeping bag, sleeping pad, pillow, toiletries, sweatshirt, towel, pjs, boots, 2 pairs of Nomex and more in this thing. Everything I need and more for 14 days out on the line. I use my other bag for my structure gear so I can't speak to that in regards to this bag but I can't say enough about how well this bag keeps my wildland gear organized. In can also be worn like a backpack with the hand grips. At this price you can't go wrong!

Great Price- Fits full Set of Gear For Average and smaller Firefighters
I bought this bag to carry my Turnout gear for FF1&2. Made no sense juggling all the gear and the study material. This bag fits the Bunker pants and boots (combined) and the bunker coat, in the main compartment. It is tight. If you are XL large size, then this bag might be tight. The main compartment zips out the side instead of the top like most duffles. One side compartment will fit a traditional helmet with internal face shield or no face shield along with a SCBA mask. The second side pocket would fit the mask if the helmet had an external face shield or the FF1&2 Text and whatever else. Great choice for the price for an average-small size firefighter and their full turnout gear.
