I bought this item for use with our Franke flush mount stainless sink. Some of the sinks are perfectly compatible with this unit and may have a recessed edge to hold it in place, ours did not. We did not measure sufficiently to allow enough overhang on the edge of the sink, so it falls into the sink from time to time. Just a word of caution.As far as functionality and materials, this is top notch. The stainless steel is thick and well constructed. The silicone edges are black and seem to be quality. It rolls up neatly when not in use and is much higher quality than the cheaper, non-branded items available.

I love this roller mat. It has changed the way I wash produce, dishes, crystal, and believe it or not the way I water my orchids. I highly recommend this product. It is a little pricey but worth it.

Very sturdy. Fits my sink nicely, and supports a full pot of water for pasta with ease. I just throw it in the dishwasher whenever it needs cleaning.

You may be thinking, why should I spent nearly $100 for this thing? Surely there are alternatives for much less and you are right. Honestly, the alternatives are not in the same league as this thing. This is so well made with awesome, strong metal. We use it to dry dishes, to give our plants a “bath”, wash fruits and vegetables and so much more. I use it multiple times a day. It will clearly last many many years and cost me pennies a day.

This German made mat is the coolest thing. So happy we purchased it. Don't waste your money on the other cheaper versions. I did and sent mine back as they may be less expensive but very cheaply made and won't hold up to dish weight. The Franke does not flex and is well made. Fits nicely over my under mount Blanco sink. Everyone should own a Franke roller mat.
