Tabbed Board Books: My First Zoo: Let's Meet the Animals! (My First Tabbed Board Book)

We love this book, bought this to practice animals with my toddler prior to our first zoo trip. It has been a hit, he has learned so many new animals and love looking through the pictures. Get it!

I bought a few of these Tabbed Board Books for my 1 year old nephew because he liked some of the existing tabbed books he had. These were all a big hit. The tabs are big enough for him to grab and turn pages easily. The pages are bigger than the usual board book and hold up pretty well to typical toddler handling. The bright, colorful pictures capture his attention. I like how the Zoo book organizes animals and covers more than the usual pets or farm animals.

I got this as a Christmas present for my 2 year old. Both her and my 5 year old love it! They have a lot of fun with the zoo theme. They'll open it to read together and say "where should we visit first?" As if they're really visiting a zoo. I love that they're pictures of actual animals. Animated, re-imagined creatures are fun too but I like the realistic pictures! and I think my kids do too! It's colorful with LOTS of pictures and a fun theme. :)

My three year old grandson loves this book! He is obsessed with zoo animals, and this book has a well-organized variety. He's very intrigued by the predators page, because most of the featured animals are big cats, but there are a few canines and a bird, so it opens up great conversations for us about similarities and differences. We love that it's packed with real photographs of his favorite animals!

Such a great selection of animals that you don't always see and able to teach to kids. Our grandson likes picking it up and bring it over to just open one of the tabs to look at the animals and point to ones he didn't know. The book also groups the animals.

My son loved going to the zoo and seeing the animals so we thought this would be a good book for him and it was. There are tabs for them to help turn the page or find the exact group of animals they would like to look at. Definitely recommend this book.

We've been going to the zoo almost every week now for the past couple of months and I wanted to get my son (1 1/2 yr old)a book that he could look at animals in when we were at home. This book fits the bill.I do agree with the one mother who commented about the font used to write the names of the animals is not the best if you are teaching your child to read.For us right now it is more of a picture book to look at and remember and reinforce the names of the animals then learning to read.

This book with real pictures is an ideal 1st birthday present.

We have most of this series. Our 1-2 year olds loved looking at all the different animals on each page. The tabbed boad pages make it easy for them to turn on their own. These are the few books which they were content to "read" on their own and could hold their attention. Great for using in the car!
