not so much useful w.r.t value
I myself, having being developing simulator for 14 year, wanted the book for my team but when I went through, it's very basic. those who don't know anything on SV/UVM, it's will be fine but again may be confusing as it skip most of elaborating part. definitely not value for money

Easy quick start guide
I love this book because it is clear to read and cuts out a lot of the superfluous details that make UVM hard to understand. If you are looking to learn UVM or freshen up for an interview. This is the place to start.

Highly recommend it
This is a very good introduction to UVM. It stats with creating a test bench for a simple DUT using Verilog modules to show how a design is verified without using UVM. This is what the first 10 chapters do. After that, the author takes you on a journey to first convert this module-based test bench to a test bench that uses classes and objects, and then converting it to a UVM-based test bench. This book helped me get a good overview of UVM. The only minor flaw of this book is that it leaves out lots of details that are necessary to a deeper understanding of UVM. I know this is a "primer", but I would've liked to see more details. Thanks to the author for using a simple DUT so that the readers effort is focused on the verification aspect and not on understanding the design. Two other books I found very useful along with is are: systemverilog for verification by Chris Spear, and practical guide for adopting the universal verification methodology by Meade/Rosenberg

Gute Einführung
Sehr guter Praxisbezug und schneller Überblick über das Thema. Man bekommt einen guten Überblick und Praxisbezug ohne langatmige Herleitungen. Gut geeignet für den Einstieg.

I was attracted to this book because Ray Salemi had posted videos on YouTube to complent the book. However, after a year of using UVM intensively at work, I found that very little in the book actually related to the real work of verfication, so the book rarely came out of the drawer. His use of animal names and attributes is too far removed from electronics.
