ECOTRIC Adjustable Detachable Sissy Bar Backrest Compatible with 2009-2024 Harley Touring Road Electra Tri Street Glide/Road King/Ultra Limited FLHX FLHR W/Pad (Chrome)

I returned the first back rest because it was about 1/4” too narrow to fit on the Harley docking hardware .. I didn’t feel I should have to use a bottle jack or some other method to spread the two mounting legs of the backrest so I returned it and asked for a replacement.. they sent another and it was exactly the same .. after some google research I found that it’s somewhat common to receive these Chinese backrests and they are two narrow and people have been forced to muscle the legs apart just the right amount to get it to mount smoothly to the bike .. not what I expected and it was a pain to get it bent correctly.. but it’s done and works ok but still a bit of a battle to get it on and off ..

Upon arrival you have to attach the pad to the frame, during this I found a screw not tightening so unzipping the cover I found that a threaded insert was stripped, and a nut was added at mfg plant. Not a big deal just had to back it with a wrench. I had ordered along with Tour Pack docking kit assuming it was all same mfg, however I was wrong. Backrest from GA and the rest from CA. So I had to do some massaging of the frame and some Dremel work on the docking points in order to get it to fit. Was expecting drop in fit but that did not happen. After all, said and done I was able to mount, and the wife said it was comfortable for her.

The bar itself is nice little hard to get on as it isn’t exactly lined up you can get it after saying about every cus word your mother would wash your mouth out for. The pad itself nope looks good on the outside but the zipper doesn’t tuck away just hangs out and the internal padding is not lined up with the stitching making it out of shape and just down right ugly to put on your bike. But I mean you get what you pay for just wish they made it a little bit better and I would have been happy..

This fit perfect on my 2015 FLHXS - Street Glide Special. One of the things NOT included in the package is the install instructions that come with a HD Branded backrest. ***The right rear shock (The non-adjustable one) has to be flipped upside-down to allow the backrest to fit. The HD Branded backrest includes this direction with it. Undo the 2 bolts holding the shock in place, Flip it top to bottom 180 degrees (do NOT rotate it), so the hole for the bottom bolt lines up at the top, and vice-versa. This is a great backrest, but without this knowledge, you will probably return it, thinking it doesn't fit, The manufacturer should have included something in the package to let us know this!!!

I have been looking for a affordable option for a passenger backrest for my 2017 Road Glide Special for a while now. Most aftermarket or Harley parts are between $200-$350 and I didn’t want to spend that much.This is an awesome backrest for $50! Installs easy (I already had HD brackets installed previously) and my wife seems happy with the comfort.The backrest pad itself was larger than I thought it was going to be but this doesn’t bother me at all. Included a picture of the backrest pad compared to what comes for the driver for Saddleman’s Road Sofa Exteneded seat. As you can see it is significantly larger but again not a bad thing.

This will work perfect as a back rest for the wife or kid when it’s needed. It’s quite large so expect that. It fits great on my 2018 road king special. As stated in other reviews the front goes to the shock mounts and the back goes on the docking kit (which you’ll need if you don’t already have it). Easy to remove as well with the quick release.

Nice fit on my 2010 FLHX was a little tight to get on. Remember to install on the rear shocks. The black pin on the back that are supposed to lock the spring clip broke on the first fit but. Would not really hold anything anyways. Comfortable for my wife. And very nice looking. Worth the money

Seems to be pretty well-built .the frame is solid bar .the welds look good .the chrome is pretty decent the only thing is the back pads a little bit stiff but I can deal with that for the price .it’s as nice as the ones you pay a whole lot more for.
