Though I am giving the product a good review the service, quite surprisingly was horrible from Amazon. The first order I got was missing an important part (all parts are important), the tube from the turbo inlet to the cold air box was missing. After I looked at the box I discovered it was resealed with Amazon Prime tape. I immediately called customer service and they said they would send me another unit. This is after I had disassembled my trucks original system. So I put it all back together and waited for the new one to arrive. Tracked the package the day it was to arrive. Got notification that it arrived. When I opened the door to get my package I was infuriated! They sent me a radiator! Have no idea how they could mess up so badly. Again immediately called customer service and they said they will issue a full refund and to just keep everything. It took almost 2 weeks to get the refund and after another call and needing to speak to a supervisor. This was Amazon at its worst. So I went to the local Summit Racing store and bought one there. Had it in my hands in less than an hour and took me just about as long to install it. Very easy and needed only a screwdriver. A quarter inch socket set with an extension and a swivel will help a lot though.I am very impressed with the power difference as Ram 3.0 diesel motors in the 1500 are not known for speed. Torque is a huge improvement up to 435 ft.lb. and an added 11hp. Noise is minimal and sounds pretty good really. MPG around town has improved a little and open road is maybe a mile or two better. But I also installed a pedal commander so it’s hard to tell how good it could be. The combination of these two items dramatically changed this trucks power. Easily breaks the tires loose and sets you back in the seat.Would buy either of these two items again.

Product arrived right on time. Very easy to install. The biggest problem I had was removing the factory intake tube from the turbo. The hose clamp was installed in a downward position so i had to use a 1/4'' drive ratchet with a 5/16'' socket to remove the clamp. The rest was a breeze. 45 minutes total install time including tool cleanup. At an idle the truck sounds the same. Took the truck for a spin and the turbo sounds 100% better when you get on it. Also, you can hear the air being sucked into the engine much better. My only complaint is the new metal air box could use a gasket on the bottom where it attaches to the factory existing lower air box. Slightly loose fit which could allow warm engine heat to get into the box. Other than that I think its a great performance product you can do yourself.

I love this CAI!!! It was easy to install, makes the truck sound great, and has upped my MPGs. Nothing major but there is a noticeable difference. The horsepower is the greatest feature. There is a very noticeable difference when I get on the throttle. I know longer worry about passing cars on the highway!!

Install went fairly easy. Already see an increase in fuel economy, can't tell about HP or torque. Don't particularly care for the extra noise, but I expected it as this is the third truck I have done this with but first diesel and first one with box around the filter.I saw some reviews about the better sound, I guess they meant the turbo whine like a real diesel truck, I don't hear it and actually I'm glad I don't. Just hear the air sucking in just like the last 2 trucks.

Just as others have described it: easy enough to install, sound it makes is low and I did get a few extra ponies...

Very simple to install. Had it done in about 30 min. Just frontloaded a little of the assembly in the house since it was over 100 outside. But everything was quick to mount. If you have never had a CAI before your not going to notice night and day differences. Just one of those things do your reasearch. Only changes that will happen to your truck is youll hear it pulling air to spin the turbo. Thats about it. But thats also why i love it

Pain in the ass to install on a 3.0L Ecodiesel, but that's because the turbo is on the back between the motor and firewall. Other than that, the air intake is great.

Big difference on the sound. I love to hear the turbo.

seems good time will tell if it was worth it, but you can hear the turbo way more now which is kinda cool
