Beautiful and substantial --yes it's a little weighty but that's a good thing! I had been planning to buy a glass pan to make lasagna in because that's what my mother used to use. However, so many reviews of glass baking pans mentioned the glass exploding and the food being ruined too. I decided to try a ceramic pan instead. It was packaged so carefully arriving in a super sturdy box with additional stiff cardboard supports inside so it arrived in 100% perfect condition. My son was visiting so I prepared his favorite meal. It came out great but as you can see I'm a little bit of a messy cook. Those baked on stray bits came off easily when I washed it. Another thing I love about this baking dish is that it is pretty enough to put on the table and serve from and it also happens to match my dinner plates! Pretty, strong, and functional!

Love this dish. I was looking for a lasagna pan and this works perfect. Deep enough to do 3-4 layers and length fits the lasagna noodles well. Very heavy duty .

This is my favorite baking dish I have owned. I bought this over a year ago and I use it every week. It looks new, even after a year of use. It works great for lasagna or any other casserole. I really like how it looks and how well everything bakes in it. It is also super easy to clean, which I love. Highly recommend!

We tried to make a lasagna improvising with an off sized dish. The result was a disaster. For years we have used a metal 9 x 13 pan in our primary home. Now in our second home we ordered this ceramic dish out of curiosity as much as anything else. It makes a nice lasagna. The ceramic dish is heavier, it is more difficult to store, but if you want to serve the whole lasagna at the table it makes for a nicer presentation. No difference is taste. Also our metal pan has a non-stick coating so it is more fragile and care must be taken not to scratch or abrade the coating.
