Both plate- retaining screws are necessary to re-install
When removing the center wire (aka,thermostat) from old assembly, simply twist and pry out with a dinner fork. Like removing GM plastic clips.

Just what I needed, relatively quick install.
Exactly what I thought I was getting. Unfortunately, my washer is outdoors in a relatively warmer climate, but with the aggressive climate change in some areas we saw frigid temps this winter and that caused issues requiring a replacement. Thankfully, this was appropriately labelled and easy to find from the part number I got off my machine. Great value considering most washer repairmen are looking to scrape at least half your pension for a fix or they want to sell you a machine with wi-fi and a toaster strudel function.

Fortunately I got the correct unit for my machine… I watched how to do it via YouTube and I was done in less than 30 mins!

Not what they advertise
Buyer Beware, what they illustrate is not the same item you receive, they show the valve in a blue plastic, you receive the item in a white plastic, what is most misleading, the two circular round connection areas should have a wire screen, they do not, you receive plastic filters with tiny, tiny holes that will fill with debris quickly (see attached photo), upon I receiving their faulty advertised item, I returned it the next day.
