When I first opened the package I was a little concerned because it felt too lightweight. But, it's not, it's strong and perfect!I've been sleeping in this every night on the screen porch since I bought it. Most comfortable if you lay directly on the hammock. But I've also used a fleece blanket underneath me on chilly nights. I have problems with back pain on a flat mattress and I don't have that in a hammock like this woven cotton one because you sleep sideways in this. and it conforms to your body shape and is very supportive.Note that you can't leave this out in the sun or rainy weather, but for inside sleeping or general use it's great.

If you are looking for an indoor hammock, a hammock for a covered porch or even a hammock for a full time bed replacement, you are going to love this hammock.I researched several different Mayan/Mexican style hammocks from online retailers before making this purchase. I decided to purchase from Hammocks Rada through Amazon because of the positive seller reviews, the seller's 3 day shipping and Amazon's return policy.Immediately after placing my order, I used Amazon's contact seller feature to request a particular hammock color. Within 15 minutes, I had a reply email from Mr. Razu from Hammocks Rada confirming the color selection and a Fed Ex tracking number. The hammock arrived about 42 hours after I actually placed the order - which is faster than what I usually get with Amazon Prime fulfillment.The hammock itself is top quality. The bed portion is made of cotton, while the ends are made of nylon string. The family size hammock is huge - slightly larger than a queen size mattress! The hammock is extremely comfortable and contours to your body almost like memory foam. Fabric type hammocks, such as an ENO or Grand Trunk, just can't cradle you like this hammock can.I will use this hammock indoors and was able to hang it using eyebolts that I had installed for another hammock. A short 14" rope on each end of the hammock loops connects the hammock to 3/8" eye bolts in the wall studs. The bolts are 12 feet apart and 7 feet high. This puts the hammock about 14" off the ground when seated in the middle. There is no problem laying flat or on your side from about 15 degrees off the center axis. You can even lay perpendicular as the hammock is 6 1/2 feet wide.As an indoor hammock, I easily expect a couple of years of regular use. However, this hammock would not weather well and shouldn't be left outdoors for any extended period of time. This isn't a reflection on the workmanship of the hammock, but rather of the soft cotton material that it is made from. Hammocks Rada also offers this hammock in a nylon version that might be a better choice for outdoor use.

This hammock can be used and be laid in many ways. You can lay across or lengthwise or diagonal I gave it five stars for durability. It is the synthetic and they are durable as long as you are careful and don't snag and break the strings. It is a string hammock. They naturally are not as durable as a cloth one. Do not expect perfection in the weaving. These are handmade by artisans as fast as possible to sell. Perfection is not doable at the speed which with they have to make them. As a weaver myself I see the flaws. You probably can't find them. Sleeps just fine as it is. I consider any flaws the mark of handmade items. Each hammock is unique that way. Set it up and take it down...Carefully and mindfully, so you do not damage it. I use mine with a Hammock stand. I got the one with the U shaped end on the uprights. Even on the lowest setting it was a bit long. I want my butt off of the floor. You too. Just make sure and align the strings and hold or tie off to keep aligned with a temporary cord. Then put an overhand knot in the cords near the hanging loop. This shortened it enough that on the lowest setting on my stand it fits perfectly and my butt is the perfect height off of the floor. Should I set it up outside on trees I will remove the knot. How...chopstick inserted to loosen. I have owned these before. Polyester ones like this are comfortable to sleep on without something between you and the cordage. Cotton ones are better for bare skin contact. Cotton ones are more likely to mildew and rot and need repairs more often. So, for what it is this is a durable hammock. I sleep in PJ's so its not an issue. If you are a nude sleeper or will be going shirtless relaxing in the hammock I advise you to get a cotton string one. less durable, but more comfy.

Excellent hammock. Puts me back in Puerto Escondido every time I lay in it.

Extremely comfortable and seems to be well-made. I wish it was possible to select the colours when ordering.
