Perfect for coils and dandruff
I have 4C hair type and it's hard for me to find a product that works. I've tried so many different type of shampoo and conditioner and everytime I get disappointed and left with dry scalp full of dandruff. This conditioner does so much for my hair, it makes my hair soft and make the texture of my hair pop! It smells AMAZING!, great quality and the worth the every penny.

Keeps curls soft
I was surprised to finally find a conditioner for curly hair that actually does what it says on the label. Hard to find in stores but thank you Amazon for selling it. For me and my curls it’s an excellent product

When your curls need moisture, try this!
I have hair that has always been very tangled. My hair is fine, easily matted, dyed/lightened, and wavy (2B/2C). I have used strengthening hair products for years - lots of protein. I finally started looking into the hydration vs. protein aspect of hair and I concluded that I think I was either overdoing it on protein or underdoing hydration (or both!).I bought this conditioner after using it at my mom's house. I loved the scent - for reference, my hair doesn't hold much scent so I don't end up smelling like this.I really like this conditioner (i have the whole line, but the conditioner is the feature for me). It allows me to do different curl techniques (combing, squishing, wet brushing). I use at least 4 pumps for medium-long length hair because I like to really saturate the ends. I don't use this on my scalp, but when I need some scalp hydration, I condition my roots before I wash my hair with shampoo. I wouldn't put this (or the leave-in) on my roots as it will be heavy and greasy. As for how my waves/curls look, I only started getting curly hair so I'm still experimenting - but I plan to keep this conditioner as part of my routine.

This is the best detangler I've ever had.
Good lord I love this stuff and it's very hard to come by, as I believe Dove has phased out this product line. I was thrilled to see the big bottles on Amazon (of course they'd be here). You need to use just a little bit of conditioner to eliminate tangles. It's instantaneous slip - you barely have to run your fingers through your hair to get rid of all the knots, and when you rinse, your hair feels like a sheet of water. I'll keep getting this until I can't anymore and I hope that Dove finds a way to work this formulation into a new product line.

not rich enough for my dry wavy hair- great detangler, but rinses TOO clean
I've had a pixie for about a decade (from age 35 to 45), and imagine my surprise when it grew out during the pandemic and I suddenly have extremely wavy-borderline-curly hair. I'm learning how to deal with it so it's not a dried out and frizzed mess, especially since it needs a good trim, but I am learning about conditioners and all of that, paired with the fact that I am an endurance swimmer, and my hair is exposed to sun and pool chemical every day.I was hoping that this conditioner would be a good match for my hair, but I find it's not quite concentrated enough, which I find to be the case with almost all "over the counter" brand conditioners.HOWEVER, I will say this- when I applied it and worked out the tangles, and then used a very wide tooth comb to make sure it got through my hair completely, the amount of hair that came off on the comb was much, much less than the conditioner I am using right now. So that tells me it DOES detangle well. It's just when you rinse it out, it rinses SUPER clean, and it's almost as if you hadn't conditioned your hair much at all. It works as a detangler, but not so a much a "leaves your hair feeling super soft after you rinse" kind of conditioner.Way back when I used to have hair down to my waist, and was dealing with SERIOUS dryness due to chemicals from a university pool and frizziness, I used the expensive conditioners from salons and they always worked 1000x better, despite my desire to find a conditioner in the drugstore that work work as well, so I could get more of it at an actual reasonable price, and have access to it easily (these are the days before ordering online was a regular thing).I was hoping that conditioners from drugstore beauty brands would have improved in that time, especially from a brand like Dove, but I just find this conditioner isn't rich enough for my hair.So I will keep using this conditioner because it's allowing me to get the tangles out, but hope t find something a little richer that leaves my hair feeling like it's been lightly conditioned but still clean and not weighed down.

Finally My Scalp is Healthy Again!
I've got 3b type curls and like many with curls my scalp tends to be really sensitive and dry. Back in 2017 my scalp was feeling dry and irritated so I started using my husband's 'Head and shoulders' shampoo. Thinking it was just the weather/or my hair changing with age/or some other reason I kept using it cause my hair kept getting more and more dry and my dandruff was getting out of control. Seriously, I would touch the front of my hair and flakes were embarrassingly visible, so I kept on using Heads and Shoulders. It got so bad I was trying other things like olive oil treatments, apple cider, changing my hair washing routine from washing once a week thinking washing too often was a problem, then switching to washing every day thinking maybe the dryness was caused by my scalp being oily. Then I came to learn: it was the shampoo the entire time! Head and Shoulders has Sulfates in it (these ingredients help create that foamy feel when using shampoo, but is the reason your scalp dries out). The shampoo I was using to get rid of my dandruff was CAUSING my dry skin and dandruff... I looked into different brands of sulfate free shampoos and tried this Dove shampoo and it was a night and day difference! After the first shampoo my scalp was way less itchy. After a month my dandruff was all gone, I'm so thankful I made the switch!
