This table is gorgeous. I am in love with the size and overall look. It reminds me of a really nice wooden, pub table or brewery table. My only gripe (minor temporary one) is the assembly. Do not do this on your own. You will get frustrated and it will take some time. The stools are particularly difficult to assemble and the assembly engineering is flawed. The screws that come with it must be aligned PERFECTLY or will not work well. It took me and a friend about two hours to assemble from start to finish. Besides this, the table is superb and is great for small homes/apartments especially since the stools slide under the table perfectly. I would highly recommend this to anyone, especially at the price at which i purchased it ($199)

I've owned this set for about a month. I've used it twice to sit down and have a meal. On Christmas I pulled one of the stools.out and realized the thin material on the underside of the stool was pulling away from the stool itself. In checking the others I saw the same on those. I will probably be able to remedy this myself, but I'm not exactly sure how it happened. It's in a dining room, not a garage or other area with moisture. It's puzzelling.Aside from this I love the set. It's beautiful. I just hope it holds up.

Beautiful! Very good quality. It is very sturdy and durable. Definitely worth the money, which was very reasonable. It's a perfect size for my son's apartment, but large enough for them to have a couple over for game night. They are pleasantly surprised with how good it really does look. Putting it together was fairly simple, but my son had to modify a part that didn't quite fit properly, but said it wasn't a problem. They were just really happy with the table & chairs in general. They also said the chairs were comfortable and sturdy enough for his pregnant wife... even though she isn't much heavier than a feather ;). My son is 6' tall and weighs about 185 lb.

So I've been looking for a small dinner table for my place that was a little bit different than your normal one. I saw this set and immediately liked the look of it. The look of this was probably the most appealing thing and it was considerably less expensive than most other table sets I viewed. Another key point for me was that the stools and table top were real wood and not particle board or fiber board with paper veneer on it. Really don't like those kinds of tables personally so having this be real wood was a real sticking point for me. Also, I don't really have a lot of space in my kitchen so I also needed something compact, but still looks nice.Assembly of this set was a bit cumbersome however it took me a little over an hour to set everything up. I did have a couple issues with the support brackets not lining up correctly. I promptly contacted their customer service department and they're sending me new ones. Also, even with the entire package being packed with styrofoam, the table top had one significant chip in it. For those people complaining the stools were hard to put together, I didn't have this issue at all. Should go without saying but when assembling the stools, don't tighten the screws until all of them are in place. Once you have all the screws hand tightened, then you can tighten them all and the stools go together without any issues.One of my main gripes with this was the smell. I assume it was recently made when I received it because the smell of lacquer/stain was pretty pungent. I had to open up the windows in my place to air out the smell for two days. It's gone away now but the smell was really strong for the first couple of days.Overall, the stools are pretty sturdy however not too comfortable to sit on for long periods of time. I might get some cushions or something later to address this. The table is nice and sturdy as well and roomy enough for 4 people to eat comfortably on it. I like this table set as it looks nice, fits in my kitchen perfectly and is relatively inexpensive.

Great looking table, but really inferior manufacturing quality. Three major problems necessitating a return: 1.) Table came damaged from shipping, with one corner smashed in. The wood is just particle board, so the whole corner was smashed in and crumbling. 2.) One chair has missing parts. The legs on the bottom of a chair were missing. 3.) The cross bar of the chairs is secured by the flimsiest of metal tabs that get screwed into the chair legs. That metal tabs breaks off very easily when screwing the bolt into the chair legs. Without that cross bar secured, the chairs have very little tensile strength. If someone rocks even the slightest bit while sitting on that chair, they whole thing will crumple like a submarine losing pressure two hundred feet under water. I do not advise buying this product. The return process of having to repackage it is insanely stupid and a waste of time.

This was as described and we are very happy with the product. In order to make the installation easier I would recommend a allen wrench that attaches to a socket wrench. Also the instructions have you place the cross pieces in prior to attaching to the seats. I would recommend that you just start the legs to the seats and then attach the cross pieces as it takes a little force in order for everything to fit together properly. Once it is put together it is very sturdy and works well in the small space that we needed this for.

I was so excited to get this table and chair set untill I started putting it together. First off one of the chairs had a very large chip in it and another had a spot on it that looked like the stain color was missing. But the worst part was that the table did not have holes for attaching the top to the base. I had to drill my own holes through the metal. ........ It has now been 4 months and let me say this table has only been sat at 3 times. The chair corners are literally crumbling and just about anything placed on the top leaves a scratch mark. I would now give this product 0 stars, thats how useless this purchase was.
