We have an older chihuahua mix who sometimes has mobility issues, especially after long walks. We have a stroller for her which is great on sidewalks, and we have a backpack for her for hiking, but we needed something for taking her around in the city when we are in inclement weather or a stroller is just too cumbersome or inappropriate to take into a store. We are super happy with this purchase. She fits really well and is very steady in the sling. The shoulder strap is padded and there are even zipped compartments for carrying dog bags, etc. it does get heavy after a while but so would anything else that you had to carry in your shoulder that was 20lbs. That has nothing to do with the sling. We used this sling taking her around on vacation with snow on the ground and also to let us take a longer walk with our other dogs who were on leashes and could go further and faster than if she was just on a leash with them as well. We didn’t think we could find this kind of solution for a dog her size but so far we are very happy to recommend this sling.

It a bit of a snug fit, but it does fit my medium sized 20 pound dachshund mix. Pic of my teenager wearing it. It’s hard to find something that fits this weight of dog. The only thing that would make it better is if there were some way to distribute the weight between your shoulders (like a backpack) because he is pretty heavy after a minute. But it’s great for when he needs a hiking break, and I like the extra touches like the storage pouch, hard bottom insert, collar tether hook, and extra padding for the shoulder. Overall would recommend.

This works as expected. I have a 22# dog that is very comfortable when placed in it. This bag has a great strap that makes it comfortable to use. Good quality. I like the pockets. The one that is close to the strap is great to keep your phone or keys in for easy access. The side pouch is great for larger items like a collapsible dog bowl.

I wanted to like this bag. The size is right for my 9 lb puppy but the padded support board that comes with it for the bottom, does not fit the bag. It’s way too small and the velcro strips are in opposite directions so it doesn't even attach. Also the mesh with the drawstring is an issue because if she is wiggling to get out and puts her feet up, her nails get caught in the mesh. This will most likely be returned.You can see in 1st and 2nd photos that the velcro would not line up in either direction no matter how the board would be placed. The 3rd photo shows how large the fabric base is compared to the removable support base that is to be velcro’d in.

I have a terrible back. My chiweenie, 17lbs, became paralyzed in January and I needed something that would let me take him to vet visits and PT and the like. I tried a couple of other bags, and this is by far the best one I've found. It is sturdy. The strap is adjustable. I can just keep my hand on him to keep him calm in the bag and even if I have to stand a while, I can manage to rock him like i would a toddler on my hip. I lined it with an bath mat that can be washed easily but also pull moisture away from him. Pee pads do not work because they gather. It is much easier to wash to bath mat :) I keep a diaper in the front pouch. and his collar on the outer part of the shoulder strap. there is a strap at the top of the bag if needed. I used his collar and strap initially until I was sure of how he would behave.

Great for carrying my foster puppies to their appointments, Carrie’s heavier weight than most to allow for growing puppies! Looks nice too and has a phone pocket!

The description lies. The entire exterior of the bag is plastic. It is not broadcloth nor is it jersey as the photo image implies as does the “reversible” description.A. Plastic is too hot for a dog to be inside, especially in the summer.B. One can not reverse a hard plastic exterior to an interior and have it flexible.C. A dog inside a hard plastic ( reversed) interior would not be comfortable.D.) the padding is a small removable piece of cardboard with some cheap fabric and slight stuffing.I bought the most expensive (Amazon) sling option for a 15 lb dog. He fit inside but the net is not very secure. Also - if the dog jumps and is clipped with the enclosed clip - they’ll be hanging DANGLING from the cheap clip. I didn’t attach it for that very reason. Bottom cushion is also missing from 1.I wanted to like this. I really wanted to keep it. I even bought iron on patches to try to make it cuter, but you can’t iron onto plastic. Some may love it but should be informed that the bag is “ waterproof” because it’s plastic. Dogs don’t have sweat glands - could overhear leading to dehydration! Deceptive marketing.

My dog is probably too heavy. The material is good though. Thick shoulder strap and adjustable too. It’s just that the Bottom is not sturdy. Gonna have to look into something else for my awkwardly shaped wiener dog but recommend for 15lbs or lighter
