Wonderful and Lightweight
Great shears! I had a good pair of All-Clad but they hurt my hands trying to cut thicker objects. These are really sharp. Plus they are more lightweight than the All-Clad pair and even the KitchenAid pair I have. The functionality of these are wonderful. I love the size too. I think the durability is outstanding. I know I will get a lot more use out of these than any of my others I’ve had. They also seem very rust resistant. I haven’t had any issues at all. They are a breeze to use. My husband even commented on them. Love these!

Excellent Cleanable Kitchen scissors
Very handy and Sharp! Don't ask. Nice to have it separate for cleaning. Nice large grips. Extra functions do work.

These are INCREDIBLE!
I finally wore out a 20+ year old set of kitchen scissors that came with an old knife set we still us. I had a hard time deciding which pair I wanted to get to replace the old ones with but I finally decided to pay a little extra and go with these. Why? Because I've learned to trust and respect Japanese products. These scissors are really incredible! They are actually sharper than most of my kitchen knives and, without any doubt, they DEMAND RESPECT AND ATTENTION while you're using them. They're so sharp, I keep reminding my wife to be very careful any time I see her pick them up.The quality and functionality are exactly what I was hoping for and, from what I can tell, they'll be with us for many years to come. The only thing I noted about them that was a bit unusual is that the little "stud" that attaches the two sides of the scissors and acts as their axle is held together with a nut. I did need to tighten the nut on my pair but I don't think that is something that's going to develop into a problem in the future. What struck me as strange is that my old pair of scissors had essentially this same design but the "stud" was permanently attached to that blade and never required any tightening or adjustment in 20 years. These may require an occasional tightening...not sure yet.Overall, I think these scissors are a really great choice and I truly love products that consistently put a smile on my face every time I use them. These are definitely THAT GOOD. I paid a bit more for them than I would have paid for some of the others but that "smile" (satisfaction) is always well worth the little extra expense. Just be careful you don't cut yourself. Keep your wits about you and you'll surely love these scissors exactly as I do. If you happen to cut yourself, just remember that it's your fault for not paying attention. They're just a highly effective tool. Respect them!

Best Scissors I've ever owned
My scissors are almost 4 years old and still In excellent condition. I spatchcock Chicken, and use them for light hobby crafts. These scissors are worth every penny, highly recommend.

Pretty Great With One Minor Nit
My wife loves this compared to the last one that came with the butcher block. It's sharp, seems well constructed, and have survived our dishwasher's torment for over a year now. It's a minor nit, but I would highly recommend is that the manufacturer use a stainless steel center screw (picture included). The one included tends to rust. This doesn't affect its function, but tarnishes (pun intended) an otherwise great product.

One year, still great
I love that they come apart for cleaning. I have had these for one year and they have not rusted, but I am very particular about keeping them clean and dry. Still sharp. Love the black.

Great quality and sharp shears!
I'm a chef in a busy downtown area and was looking for some quality shears. These have cut through lobster yails flawlessly, chicken bones, countless amount of butchers twine and still as sharp as they were out of the box! Wish they were a little longer but great shears!

Cuts well, disassembles for sanitizing.
I bought these to replace a 20+ year old pair from Chicago cutlery when my handle broke. These are excellent! They cut well and come apart to get them truly clean. I do t need a second pair, but if I did I’d definitely buy these.
