The parts were packed well to withstand shipping, directions were clear, and assembly was straightforward, with parts fitting perfectly. The blue covering chosen for my item is attractive and materials and construction appear to be sturdy. Through the couple of weeks that it has been in use on my deck it has performed as described (it raises, lowers, & tilts; can also be rotated by using the foot pedal to unlock its position). Have found Customer Support to be very responsive to a couple of questions that I had, reinforcing my feeling that this is a company that values its customers. All in all, very happy with this purchase. Safety reminder: Be sure to buy a weighted base that this style of umbrella requires. Viney's weighted base for this model was out of stock when I ordered the umbrella, so I searched and found one that appears to be identical from another company. Sadly, a week later when Viney re-stocked I learned that their base sold for $10 less than the one I had already installed from the other company. Guess you win some and you lose some--still happy overall.

Big upgrade from other 10 foot offset umbrellas. Was not too difficult to put together and it functions much better than the previous $70-$150 offset umbrellas I have had. Extending or taking down very easy with the handle compared to the other umbrellas that don’t hold it in place.you want it to stay or you pinch you hand taking up or down. This one will stay in a tilted almost vertical position and you are able to adjust it’s postion from the base/ pole to put the umbrella in the place where you need it to block the sun. Looks good, functions well and was a great price. I Purchased this for a deal at $159 but I see it for $239 now. One other thing… when I originally purchased it, it got lost somewhere in transit and was somehow sent back to warehouse in California( i’m in Illinois) and Amazon refunded me. They knew the mistake was made and initiated the refund on their own, but said it might eventually get to me. It made it to me, so I am even happier that I got it for free, but it would’ve been well worth it at $159

I had to purchase a new umbrella for our beach condo recently and I have been very pleased by the quality and ease of use of this Viney umbrella. I’ve also been in contact with customer service about obtaining a cover for it and they are delightfully easy to work with! Great product for the price!!

This is a very sturdy umbrella. I love that it easily adjusts up & down (to adjust the angle of the umbrella), with the added awesome benefit of having the foot pedal, which allows you to rotate the whole umbrella right or left (will rotate 360 degrees) for additional sun blocking. As the description says, a weighted base is needed to keep the umbrella from tipping over when it is opened. The umbrella is heavier than I expected & seems very well made. Customer service is easy to connect with, & very helpful if you have any questions. I connected with them by texting the enclosed phone number. Only suggestion I have when assembling, make sure to not mix up the screws during assembly, lol.

I was able to assemble the umbrella by myself, and the mechanism works great. I have used it with breezes up to 7mph without problems. One concern was my blue umbrella came with scattered light spots on the fabric. It also came with an offer to get an additional canopy for free if I texted a number. I did that, and they asked me about my purchase. I explained my concern about the spotting, sent pictures, and they sent me a new canopy that appears to be perfect. You do have to devise a way to hold the umbrella down. I bought 10 inch x 1/4 inch screws, which I drove into the dirt, the base (which I filled with water), and I threw some pavers on too.

We ordered this umbrella as well as the weighted base by the same manufacturer, Viney. From opening the boxes to full assembly, it took less than one hour (and I am in my 70's). It opens and adjusts easily and is a great addition to our patio. We chose to purchase the weighted base by the same manufacturer (Viney) and everything came together easily. The price was also very competitive and the fabric looks and feels good.

Assembly was quick , a sturdy , good looking patio umbrella , that fit nicely on my front patio . easy to use , my young grandchildren can extend it out with no problem .

Easy assemble but when the wind blows it consistently makes a squeaky noise. Returning product
