Piece of mind

Super value lock deterrant!
This is a brilliantly designed product to lock your double RV propane tanks. Simple installation, and comes with its own lock that you can customize your own lock code! Great product, well built, nice and heavy duty security.

A quick modification and its more secure!!
The components are made well and really thick making them hard to cut and or bend. The kit comes with (2) "wing nuts". One is for 1/2" threaded shaft and one is for 3/8" shaft. Most trailers will use the 1/2" nut. I drilled out the 3/8" wing nut to 1/2" and slipped it over my 1/2" threaded shaft and tack welded it to the shaft. See the pic of the wing nut welded to the shaft. I Installed the shaft as shown in the second pic, then the tanks, lock base plate, threaded wing nut with matching holes and the provided lock as shown in the third pic. The addition of the wing nut will keep someone from using vise grips/pliers/crescent wrench to unscrew the 1/2" shaft from the trailer propane mount. The wing nut is large enough diameter to keep someone from trying to tip or manipulate the tanks. The added nut does not touch the tanks so there should be no abrasion damage to the tanks over time. This mod adds a bit more security. Make sure you weld the nut LOW enough so it will not interfere with your regulator but high enough to take up the space between the tanks.

Keeps the honest person away!
Like most locks they keep the honest person away, but if someone really wants my tanks they are going to take them. While in storage I keep both 40 gallon tanks at home, when traveling I use this lock hoping that it will at least slow.down the would be theief.Overall it provides a little piece of mind knowing that the thief is going to have to work at it, to take them away.

Worth the Money
Great product use it to secure the tanks on my travel trailer have not had any problems. Easy to install.

A peace of mind
This was easy to install on my trailer, double propane bottles. Just knowing that the lock is installed on the tanks and it would take some time to steal the tanks, gives a person a little easy feeling. Both the device and lock are of good quality. Highly recommend installing this device on your tanks.
