Everything is great except the cost in use
I did a lot of research on toothpaste tabs and this was the first brand I tried; I wanted fluoride for sure and was happy to get to try activated charcoal to boot. The packaging is a small glass jar with a metal lid, light but not flimsy. I looked for toothpaste tabs to reduce single use plastics in my home so this was a big plus. The tabs don't always foam up as I chew them, so I chew until the grit is almost entirely gone and then I turn on and start my electric toothbrush. The brush itself gets the foam going then. I think this would work well with a manual toothbrush too, because it takes only a moment of brushing for these things to explode into foam.My mouth feels clean after using these, and the mint flavor is present but understated (not like the regular toothpaste with 'minty fresh' that feels like you chewed a bunch of mints...). Not a huge fan of the taste of xylitol, but it's a small price to pay for the benefits of these tabs.My teeth were coffee stained and after 3 days of use of these tabs 2x/day I've noticed significant whitening. I had hoped the charcoal would help and I think I can safely say it is helping, because I'm still drinking coffee every morning but my smile keeps getting brighter!Last bit - I wish these weren't so expensive. At $13/month they are at least 3x as expensive as a tube of whitening toothpaste with activated charcoal. Is there something about the production process that makes these so much more expensive? Is it the reusable packaging? Is it the shipping from China? (I saw they used to be made in the UK but production moved to China during the pandemic.) I love the way these work, but I'm not sure I can justify that much of a green markup.

tried the charcoal ...not a fan.
The mint flavor is pretty mild, but it works. I saw the 'charcoal' when i ordered(not a fan), but i hadn't yet seen Globoid's toothpaste tablets without charcoal listed in the description, so i'll give that a go, now that i have, and see if i like it more. This is better than toothpaste tubes when it comes to needless waste, as far as i can tell. The packaging is like thick paperboard and although i don't know that our waste facility will recycle it with the rest of the paperboard, I feel better about this decomposing in the dump rather than a plastic toothpaste tube. They chew up easily enough and foam a bit. Not as much as, say, Colgate, but enough to 'swish' after one is done brushing. Once again, i plan order the non-charcoal(i hope) variety next time, but i'm thinking it might be good for me to keep in stock.

An all-around Winner!!
After first use, I loved everything about this product except for the aftertaste, which was almost an immediate deal-breaker for me. But due to the plethora of PROS surrounding these charcoal tabs (hoooooooray Climate Pledge Friendly!!!), I continue to use these as my AM brush tablets. ... That way I start the day with clean, healthy teeth, and the aftertaste goes away with my first sip of coffee 5 minutes later.(P.s. Clearly I do not equate clean teeth with clean aftertaste!! : 0)

Okay, Not Great
I'd like to start this review by saying I've been using a natural toothpaste for years (Uncle Harry's brand), so I'm very accustomed to low sudsing toothpaste with a flavor that may be offputting to most at first. I bought these tabs for travel and camping as this little jar is easier to pack than the giant jar of Uncle Harry's. I'll start out by saying that I like that the product is natural and plastic free and is easily packable. It is also easy to use and I do find that it gets to a very toothpaste-like consistency pretty quickly once you start brushing. However, I don't like how much it foams up. Like I said, I'm used to a low-foaming toothpaste, so this stuff is too much in my opinion. I also don't like the flavor. It's too sweet and it leaves an aftertaste, which also makes my breath feel not as fresh as I'm used too. It also doesn't leave my teeth feeling as clean for as long as I'm used to. With Uncle Harry's, I can go all day without the fuzzy sweaters on my teeth, but with this stuff, I'm okay for maybe half a day. But the worst thing about this is that, after using it for 3 weeks while traveling, it's made my mouth sore around the insides of my lips. I don't know why but it's really uncomfortable and I can't wait to get back to my usual toothpaste! This might be okay for short-term use, but anything longer than a week and I think I'll pass.

Really pleased with GloBoid Charcoal Toothpaste Tablets!
I have liked the idea of toothpaste tablets for some time now. The first few brands I tried did not contain fluoride and my dentist recommended finding one that did. That’s what lead me to GloBoid. Have tried a few types and the mint flavored with charcoal is my favorite. No real reason. I just like what I like. Most of my travel is for less than a week and I find these very convenient for this length trip. Normally just put however many I need in a little resealable plastic bag with my vitamins. Doesn’t take up hardly any space. Really like the sustainable, biodegradable packaging as well. I’m moving away from single use plastic packaging whenever possible. It is best to store these somewhere other than the bathroom however. The steam and moisture tend to make them a bit hard and brittle. I normally put 60 in the little glass bottle in the picture and keep these in my bathroom. The rest of the refill container is stored in the kitchen cabinet with some other things. They stay fine in there. I believe some previous smaller quantity orders came in the little glass bottle so it came from GloBoid as well. Very cute! Have seen some complaint about the price but the way I figure it costs less than 14¢ each time I brush my teeth with a tablet. I guess I’m in a place where I can afford 27-28¢ a day on a product that takes good care of my teeth. I highly recommend this product!

Not the best.
I have only tried a few tablet toothpaste brands. This was my first time trying this brand and I'll say it's not my favorite. The tablets are a lot harder then I was expecting but not to bad. It also foams a lot. It's the taste that I don't like. I was expecting a mint flavor strong or mild and that's not what I got. It tastes fruity and not in a good way. Not something I want to use to clean and freshen. First and last time I will be purchasing these.
