Excellent fine mesh strainer. I use this primarily for tea/coffee filtration, but am ordering another for straining cooking liquids. The mesh is fine enough to catch almost all particulate matter. Haven't had any issues with the mesh getting clogged, and it cleans well with a soft brush. What I especially like is the balance. The strainer body fits well across the top of a coffee mug or measuring cup, and the handle does not overbalance and make the strainer tippy when you're pouring through it.Would love to see this in a slightly larger size as well, for straining soups or cheesemaking.

This is a STURDY, double mesh tea strainer like the one I bought in India. Stronger reinforced thick woven mesh on outside, finer mesh in inside… held all by a strong frame that won’t allow the mesh to tear out like all the cheap ones everywhere! Buy it! You won’t regret it! I bought two —- one for work and one for travel—-and I am so happy! Fits PERFECTLY in a 20oz. y*ti cup!!!!! No stains no rust!

I really like this strainer. It has a fine mesh which will only allow very small particles through. I use it to sift rice flour into a sourdough banneton basket. I put a tablespoon of rice flour in this and it holds the flour well until I tap on it, and then the flour just gently comes out with each tap. I have not used it for tea, but I cannot imagine anything larger than tea dust working its way through this. It is sturdy and dishwasher safe. The cup is about 9 cm across and about 5 cm deep. It would easily hold about a half of a cup of material.
