Exactly as I hoped
I needed a good plate that could put a sandwich or bacon'n'eggs or a steak or rice'n'stew--you get the idea--on, with a sort of nice lip around the edges to keep any gravy or au jus on the plate and these are perfect, big enough without being too big, and are becoming my favorite plates. I don't think I'd ever use them in the regular oven though, I'm treating them like my other meal plates (I've got pots, pans, disposable aluminum pans for the oven). If I need a plate with more of a lip, I'll grab a pie tin. We also don't have a dishwasher so can't speak to that; they wash up by hand just fine. You probably could do some sort of gently warming the plate to keep your food once served hotter longer but that's not important to us so we haven't tried. I have bigger enamel coated plates if serving more food but these are small enough to serve their purpose. Oh, and we're not children; we just needed smaller plates for our reduced food intake and these work so well.

Not good
I received them on FridayHad my steak on Saturday and after the first wash I don’t really understand the modern art engraved in it. They are light weight badly designed and definitely not dishwasher safe

Cute as a little tray, not for food
I ordered in the 9” gold. Purchased to use on my night stand to hold a few odds and ends. Of course this is a plate rather than a tray, in that the edges curve upward so that you loose a wee bit of flat space, but there is still a large enough bottom surface vs diameter to offer plenty of usable real estate. The gold is a bit more glint-y and brighter than I prefer, looks a touch cheap… however for as lightweight and insubstantial as it is, I appreciate it’s very smooth, cut well and not warped. Before purchasing, I read reviews of similar products where people reported peeling paint and other less than ideal manufacturing flaws; I am happy to report my 2-piece set didn’t suffer any similar issues. Personally I wouldn’t feel at all comfortable serving food on this. There is absolutely no marking on the plate or on the packaging that indicates that this is stainless steel or food safe. So um, no thank you. Plus, I’d think cutlery would scratch this up nearly immediately. But for a jewelry tray, candle holder, etc., it’s quite cute and I’m satisfied with the purchase.

Had black oxidation on them
Took a while to get clean upon arrival as they had a layer of black oxidation on them. Also there's a lip where they've rolled the metal over on the edges, and it collects water when cleaning the plates. So they will drip despite being fully dry on the surface. TBD if the black oxidation returns. 3.5/5 stars. Meh.

Larger than advertised.
I was looking for a plate, this is more like a serving platter. I'm still using it as a plate, a ridiculously large one.
