My Cat LOVES it!
My cat, Figaro is an Emotional Support Animal and I was excited to add this back pack to his training! We have been practicing in the house so far and he loves it so much he will climb in and sit there waiting for me to take him for a little ride in it! I actually wear the back pack in reverse in front where I can see him and it is very comfortable. It seems very sturdy and well made. I like that it has the screen mesh rather than a plastic bubble window like on some others. Figaro is a shy cat and the screen I think gives him more privacy and a sense of security. The size is good too. Figaro is an average 10lb cat and he can sit comfortable or curl up in the back pack. It is also super easy to stick him in or get him out of it with the top loading zipper front design. Another cool feature is the mesh pocket on the side which would allow me to put a little battery operated fan in there to keep it cooler and more ventilated for him if needed. A few things on the down side worth mentioning: it didn't come with directions and was pretty frustrating trying to figure out how to asseble it when it arrived. Also, how to expand the carrier without having to take the cat back out took me quite a while to figure out. (wish they had a "how to" video or something) I am a little concerned too about actually travelling with him in it since he gets scared in the car and a lot of times pees himself. It says it is washable but I haven't tried it yet. I'm thinking, for the car, his old tradtional plastic carrier my still be better and easier to clean. But I bought it to be able to keep him close to me in certain situations as an emotional support animal so I'm happy with it. One more great thing about the back pack is it keeps my hands free which is a huge help since I am disabled and walk using a cane. It gives me peace of mind too that I would be able to use it as a bug-out bag to take Figaro with me in case of the zombie appocalypse or some other disaster :)

Almost perfect
I did a lot of research before choosing the right backpack for my kitty. In the end, I know I made the right choice. I really like the padded straps- I feel very secure carrying her back there, whether for car trips or when flying. I also love that the top part of the backpack is mesh, so I don’t feel bad about her getting enough air. However, the ONE thing I would change is to add another zipper to the main compartment closure. There’s only one zipper, so that you can only open the main compartment one way. There were quite a few times while traveling where I wanted to open the compartment facing me so I could give her some scratches. However, it opened away from me, so I couldn’t do that without opening the zipper all the way. Still, that is the only thing holding this back from being perfect. Love it.

Very versatile and comfy
The media could not be loaded. This versatile backpack/carrier is pretty amazing! I have had it several months now, and washed it multiple times. Weekly I have to travel over 80 miles with my new adoptee, and we adventure regularly to our local river. He is also being leash trained, so this backpack also allows him a break when he’s tired, or needs a break fromdogs lol.I completely recommend it :)Pros: the “feral” cat who recently adopted me jumped right in it on the first day when I put his food in it.Nicely padded for the human’s back and shoulders. It has a chest strap.you can use it as a booster chair in the car and secure it around the chair with the chest strap.Washes super well—3x already! (be sure to take out the ply-wood in the bottom) DON’t put in the dryer, it dries super fast. It’s light to wear (when my buddy isn’t in it.Had an internal harness connector. It’s cute.My buddy doesn’t hate it :)Cons:The BIGGEST miss of this awesome design is the external zipper on the back pack side should be a DOUBLE LOCKING ZIPPER so that you can allow your buddy to peak out from either side depending on the situation while preventing their full exit. Second biggest miss—but maybe it’s just for me- My kitty is hefty, but still a waist strap would have been great for back support.Inside floor padded could be more padded for your buddys comfortInside Floor could be more “water proof” to keep the plywood insert from getting wetWhen only a backpack, it could have a bit more depth for your buddy. The internal harness strap connector metal piece is flimsy, and has already broken. The internal harness connector should be on either side.Would be great to have luggage feet or a rubberised bottom for when you set the bag on the ground to keep it cleaner.

Make sure wire inside front is not sticking out inside the bag
Love this fir travel but has to pull the wire out of the front as it was sticking out inside the bag and I was afraid with stick my pet in the face. Still works without the wire

Smaller cat likes it
My smaller female cat likes it. She uses it as a playhouse when expanded for her toys. She has gone out in it for short trips in the yard, worn on my abdomen so I could talk to her. It does get heavy. She did great going to the vet in it.It is too small for our 16 lb male.

Best cat backpack
Sturdy and comfortable backpack that seems to hold up to a somewhat wild stray kitten that u rescued. She is still a little unsure of it, but also doesn’t hate it, so that’s progress! I’ve also used it to transport her in the car and it works well!

pretty good overall
This was a great choice for traveling with my car. The only issue I had was figuring out how to put it back into it's collapsed shape with the cat in there once we got to where we were going. Not a deal breaker though
