TopeakThird Hook for Dual-Touch Upper or Lower

I added this hook to add a third bike to my stand, and it was simple. It is designed so you do not have to disassemble the post to attach it, which was nice.

I bought this stand along with an extra hanger kit. The extra hanger had a different finish. It took a little time to put together, and there were many opportunities to assemble things incorrectly. I wound up building everything twice. But once it is together, it seems very high quality, good looking, well thought out and stable. It isn't at all comparable to the junky stands I have tried in the past.I like the way the hooks can be adjusted for sloping top tubes, and the handlebar stabilizer is a handy addition. I am 6'-6" and the stand is still tall enough for two of my bikes to mount vertically. My only complaint is that the pole clamps seem to rotate around the pole.I have used it as a work stand, and it is plenty sturdy, but the pedals hit the pole even while using the horizontal spacer. The hooks also interfere with top routed cables.

I bought this for our two flat apartment in Chicago. I have several bikes and my girlfriend has two as well. This is a great looking rack that is super sturdy. The large nylon nut on one of my racks seems to have stripped out. It still works but I hate when threads are mad of any plastic material as if I try to tighten it pops off the threads. Its a great rack and extremely adjustable for all those different frames sizes and types. Works great for mens style frames but I imagine a women's style frame would be more difficult.

Bought the lower hook used - the price was a lot better than the new price! This hook is great! I have the Dual Touch stand,and I misplaced the lower hook over the course of several moves. Now I use the stand to get the bikes off of the basement floor. At the used price, this is a great value.

Good product, but would rather the pieces be metal. The assembly does not grip well around the supporting tube and can be over-tightened very easily, causing damage to the spline screw potion of the assembly.

The Topeak hooks work just fine. You tighten until they stop. Some people just feel the need to crank on things to be "safe" I have 4 of these and none have stripped with proper use.

Nice stand but you can only really get two bikes on it.
