works great; you do have to unsolder two wires to remove the daughter board and resolder two wires from the Xbox if used as an X-box replacement due to x-box having the drive being matched to each Xbox unit. This is a Microsoft issue, not an issue with the product, and it took only 5-10 min to swap them out, even though I have never soldered anything before.

Easy Installation, Defective Product
Installation was pretty straight forward, however the drive is rejecting the discs. Very disappointing

Did what I wanted it to do.
Bought this to fix an X Box One. It was overall easy to do, and has worked properly now for last few months. I will buy this disk drive again, if I ever need to fix up another old X Box.

Did not work at first
The disc drive did not work at first. I had to swap the circuit board from the old one to the new one and it works perfectly.

Pretty easy installation Only thing I did different for the installation was I cut the wires from new Bored and cut the wires at the Motor on the old drive, then soldered them together, put some heat shrink over the solder point, it made them a little longer and easier to work with.

Fixed my disc read problem.
Easy to install and you need to solder old motherboard into it. Worked great!Just look up some youtube videos on how to do it.

NOT FOR GAME CONSOLES PERIOD
This was a joke I was looking for a disk drive to my Xbox one and yes this one plugs in but it didn’t even work literally it would make a grinding noise and damaged one of my Xbox games then I noticed on the instruction paper that comes with that it is basically a blu ray dvd player drive so you have to change the computer board from the old drive to the new drive which requires soldering so now I have to return it just so I can buy a different one that actually works I will applaud one thing I like that the screw drivers they sent with it worked perfectly because I was able to replace the analog stick on my controller that’s about the only positive thing I can think of if your looking to replace a computer disk drive or maybe a dvd player disk drive this may be a great option but DO NOT BUY FOR XBOX IT SHOULD NOT BE RECOMMENDED

Becareful sodering old board to new drive.
Worked great sodered old board on to new disc drive. And worked perfectly games now play again on my xboxone. Tip steady hand needed don't turn sodering iron heat up to much. 200-220 is fine
