Key Strategy Tools: 88 Tools for Every Manager to Build a Winning Strategy

This is a helpful book (2nd edition) that I recommend to my students in a graduate strategy class within a health care leadership program. The book has standard tools explained and, in some cases, illustrated. I commend his attempt. The material is a little dated and it is skimpy on the tools' positive and negative evaluations. I supplement this material with lots of other materials.Several missing parts would improve the book. For example, theories of the firm would help frame the tools in a more sophisticated manner. Section 8 on corporate strategy is not well organized and puts tools into the section that are best placed in other categories (e.g., good strategy/bad strategy - Rumelt).All said, my hope is that Evans will take the time to do more research and provide more depth to the book to make it better.
