WILL GIVE FLUSH response and is hard to split down to 125 1/4th dose but is a good value if you have stair stepped up to 125mg to step up to the next level of 250mg HOWEVER this may not be good for light complected people or those not conditioned to higher doses so be careful. Some claims are out there about this in very high dozes of 4000 mg or 4 grams for reduction of cholesterol, I am too skiddish to consider that much. Niacin and Zinc Malabsorbtion issues were first noticed in 2nd generations in the 1950s after many mamas starved during the depression era dust bowls. From my reading on this it is now labeled a Epi-genomic effect down to perhaps 3rd and 4th generations, with implications ranging for immunity, athletic and mental health, the Cholesterol science threatens the shaky ground of Statin's markets so, it is plausible science was funded to foo foo Niacin's value for better lipid profiles, IF IT WORKS FOR YOU GREAT, I have no clue on that issue and NOT medical advice derrrrr

My husband takes this daily for the health benefit. After trying multiple brands, this is his favorite! Other brands were not the same quality

The flush 😬Not sure exactly how many stars to give this, I want to take away one star for the horrific flush it gives me but at the same time that’s kind of part of having a good niacin 😂Just be aware that the flush can be tough to take! I was itchy and blotchy all over my body for a few hours. Starts with the prickling feeling and then boom… red blotchy.I cut down to half a pill and that helped. Yes, my cardiologist did suggest an aspirin half an hour or so before to eliminate the flush but I don’t want to take a medication to assist!!

Works great. Don't have problems with fluhing

I take niacin to balance my triglycerides. This brand and form works the best for achieving the annoying, but needed, flush associated with the best outcomes for acceptable lipid panel results

Please inform yourself well before taking this product. Within minutes I was red as a lobster, my skin was burning itching and deeply red. Within 30 min it turned into a full blown itching rash, followed by tightness in the chest and dizziness then came to a point where I had trouble speaking. I had to stay in bed for an 90 min until it passed. I know that side effects are described as uncomfortable but harmless. Honestly, at the time they didn't feel harmless, and I was concerned what turn it would take next. It definitely was a one and done deal for me.

Started using niacin after reading the benefits especially of decreasing bad cholesterol and increasing good cholesterol.I knew there would be a flush but I was not prepared for the FIRST flush! My whole body turned red like I was sunburned and I felt a bit itchy after about 45 min and it lasted a few hours. That said….This is a NORMAL reaction in the beginning!!! Expect this to happen!! It’s not just this brand…it’s any brand of flush niacin that is taken.Yes! The reactions decrease!! If taken with hot coffee more flush will occur. If taken with food there will be less flush. I take it with Vit C. I hardly ever feel the flush except once in awhile it does give me a bit of redness in the face… otherwise I love that warm feeling.I now take 1,000mg in the morning (no food or coffee) and the same dose when I go to bed. If I flush, I don’t feel it when I’m sleeping.Fun fact, this supplement has been known to help people with anxiety, depression, and even bipolar. Wow! Who knew? If you know someone who needs help with mental health issues, do some research!Needless to say, I love this product and my niacin flush!!

It works good for me but the percentage daily value is at 3125%. I cut the pills into 4 pieces and take one piece daily. I didn't read the label when I first got it and took one pill and I was on fire for a half an hour or longer. If it came in a lower dose I'd give it 5 stars.
