Perfect piece!
I ordered the medium piece and it was perfect for my new 5 gallon aquarium. I loved how it was a stump with roots. I can't wait to see how it looks as the aquarium matures. Very happy with this piece. I did boil it for 3 hrs and then soaked it in water for two more days after. It leeched some tannins but not a lot.Update: I bought a second piece of wood and love it even more than the first. It looks so cool and I can't wait for it to mature. I got a medium piece for a new 3 gallon aquarium. It is a bit large but the shape worked out in my favor. I'm keeping micro fish and shrimp, so they still have a lot of space. This piece I boiled for about an hour and then changed the water and let sit for 24 hrs. I changed the water again and let sit for another 24 hrs. The piece sunk and is barely leeching tannins.

A pleasant surprise
I love it! I expected a little fingerling piece of wood that would probably be a little underwhelming in appearance, but good enough to anchor some moss.That's..uh, not what i got. This is a solid piece the size of my whole face. Lots of drama and great hides and way, way too big for the intended tank.Luckily, I've got a 10 gallon tank that it will suit perfectly. I've never been so pleased to get something i can't use for the purpose it was purchased before. It's beautiful. The only problem here is my interpretation of 'small'.

Beautiful things come at a cost
The log is beautiful and even though I soaked it for half a day before putting it in, I have had to remove half of the water twice bc the log turns it brown. Like tea brown. Plus, the log floats, which is understandable, it is wood, but it’s for a fish tank! I can’t have my fish tank log floating. I had to sandwich it in to keep it down. 🤦🏼♀️Overall, if you can deal with all the water changed due to whatever dye they put on this thing bleeding off and the floating issue, it’s a beautiful piece of wood.Update! Not only did this log never stop turning my fish tank into a brown tea color but is also started to break down. It got this thick coat of fuzz on it, and nothing else in the tank had that fuzz. After I took it out the tank was fine. No fuzz to be seen. I asked a local pet store why they think it turned fuzzy and they said it sounded like it was breaking down the wood. Idk but between the constant water color changes and fuzziness, I couldn’t do it anymore.

Boil before you use it in your tank!
Just got this and put it in the tank right away, it wouldn’t sink. I read about drift wood and how to make it sink and it said to boil it. So I’m boiling it now and the water immediately turned brown. The wood looks nice so we will see how well it sinks after I boil it

Dyed driftwood?!?!
Bought two of these driftwood pieces for my fish bowls but when I added it to my first bowl the water turned brown. I boiled the driftwood about 20+ times (cooling, rinsing and repeat) assuming the wood must have been dyed. Let the wood soak in clear water overnight. After all that, I added back to my fish bowl after a water change and the water is still turning brown.....not as dark but still brown. I know that is the look some aquarists are going for, but for me this will detract from my Betta's beautiful color. The pieces are very nicely shaped, but feel better suited for dark-water aquascape.

Great buy, Great product. BESURE TO BOIL!
I can't speak for all pieces but I am very pleased with the small pc I ordered. PRE WARNING be sure to soak and boil driftwood several times unless you want your aquarium brown with tannins. I boiled my small pc of root that I was sent for hours over a couple days draining the water when it would get black then replacing with fresh and repeated numerous times. Besides that it is a great looking pc of wood to add to your tank. My clown pleco loves it

Perfection
Of course the size and shape of the wood is determined by nature. But this?!?! Whoever picked this for me I hope your pillow is cold on both sides tonight because I love this piece. Does release tannins but I want tannins in my water so it worked out perfect. Was able to anchor my plants to it fairly easy.
