I had a hard time finding chipotle without garlic or onions or other flavor type ingredients, it’s chipotle-it has its own delicious flavor!! I was happy to find this product without the added flavorings. I use it a lot for soups and will freeze after opening. It lasts well in the freezer and does not go bad. For that reason and that it has only 3 ingredients, the value is reasonable and worth it to me.

Every Thanksgiving for the past few years I've made a chipotle cranberry sauce and at first, I used dried chipotle peppers that I could pick up from a local Mexican market. But, it was another step in an otherwise simple recipe to cook/rehydrate the peppers & then chop them. One year the peppers disintegrated and the sauce was TOO hot because the seeds were everywhere; another year the dried peppers had no flavor at all. Last year I tried ground chipotle seasoning (from the regular grocery aisle) and it was ok plus it save a lot of time.This year I bought this puree and it was so simple to use and perfectly hot - the cranberry sauce was a hit. I also mixed the puree with some mayo to use on a turkey sandwich and that was great too. Buy this stuff - it's incredible!

VERY SALTY. VERY. If I left this outside, I would be overrun with deer.
