American Standard2034314.020 Champion 4 One-Piece Toilet with Toilet Seat, Elongated Front, Chair Height, White, 1.6 gpf

Arrived in good condition and was not damaged. I’m a state licensed Plumbing contractor and could not find a 1.6 gallon per flush one piece toilet in American Standard at any of my supply houses, only 1.25 GPF and Amazon was less expensive.

Delivery was amazing. The guys brought it right into my livingroom and it came quick and on time. We've just got it installed and used it for a day. The toilet has a powerful flush. It's one piece and it's mighty heavy so you will need help unpacking and lifting. The only real complaint I have is the toilet is not the height expected. We are older, tall people and we bought it to be a little taller than average. This is definitely not a taller toilet.

We were constantly having to call a plumber to unclog our toilet before we bought this toilet. $800 dollars every month, soTimes even twice a month. Finally, one of the plumbers took pity on us and told us about this one. Said the problem was (kinda gross here, sorry,) someone In the house having the runs often and that it was stopping up the trap and then getting stuck there where the snake couldn’t get to, so it was easy to stop it back up. Plunge all we could but eventually it would just build up to point it had to be snaked down, but even that left some. So they told us to buy this thing and we have not had a single clog since. Thanks to that nice plumber at roto-rooter doing what he wasn’t supposed to and worrying about the customer over the company, things are much better. But I’ll tell you, get the chair height. It may be a little bit more, but it’s worth every penny!!!

First thing I noticed was how heavy it was. I had to get help to get it out of box and eventually into place in bathroom, unlike the Toto ones in the other two bathrooms. The discharge hole in bottom was a suprise as it is only 2.5", smaller than the ones on the Toto. Suprise also that there was no wax ring, which this toilet, if you look at the instructions on how to put it on, takes a special size. Called American Standard who had to mail me the right one. (Turns out the picture on instructions was wrong). Fushing was good first couple of days but tank is a long wait to fill back up. Three days into the use it started to not flush. No matter how you tried to manipulate the flush using the handle it would not finish the flush. Finally it worked; once. Now it is stubborn, only finishing a flush everyother time. Returning it? Forget about it. Getting it out of box destroyed box. Trying to repackage it a real hassel. Then you have to have a trucking company ship it for you. This is after you go through all the work of taking it out of bathroom. Save your time and money and buy a Toto Drake. I should have stayed with that brand. (Toilet we were replacing was a cheap one that came with house which finally failed)

6-7-2024 Update: It's been almost a year since I was sent the wrong color & no chance to reorder it at the same PRIME DAY price I originally paid. Yes, they did accept the return & refunded my discounted Prime Day price, but my only choice to get the correct color is to reorder it at a MUCH higher price... This is for the 3rd of 3 bathrooms. The first (2) I ordered were the correct color, arrived unblemished, installed easy, look great, clean easy, and have NEVER clogged once, and we have (2) adults, (3) college-age boys, plus their friends visiting... BTW the seller has not reached out to me beyond accepting the return / processing the refund...8-3-2023 Update: I ordered (2) more LINEN colored when the price FINALLY dropped to what I paid before... However, waiting that long backed me up to our vacation, so I could only inspect them when we returned to find that one was the wrong color (the darker bone vs. the lighter linen I had ordered for both...) Amazon appears to be making the return easy, but I find no means to replace for the same price. Now the price is back up $200 more, we are after Prime Days, etc., so this could be a hassle... Lucky I didn't remove the 2nd toilet yet & will update this post when I get the correct color for the Prime Day price....Original 2022 Order: Installed in our main floor / guest bathroom after installing new vinyl luxery flooring on main floor. No longer have to worry about embarassed guests informing me that they clogged the toilet... This one ALWAYS flushes everything with one powerful flush. Because it's one piece it stays neat & clean looking but it's very heavy - I managed to unbox it and install it without help, but it's better to have help... I like it so well I plan to get (2) more for our other bathrooms, but the price went up $140 since 2022, so I will wait until it comes back down or get it elsewhere...

Wonderful item

I've had this toilet a little over a year and it has not given me any trouble to speak of. It has not once clogged. I think three times the chain attached to the flapper got caught on the edge of the flapper, so it didn't seal right, and the water kept flowing. But it was always obvious, and it was an easy fix.

The box from American Standard was inside a larger box that added a few inches all around with lots of padding so it arrived safely. Amazon delivered inside my door as advertised with great care. Delivery couldn't have gone better.Toilet came with a quick to remove seat. If my son moves on it, any sideways pressure the latch opens and releases the seat. The latch needs improvement.The toilet does not come with a wax/silicone ring or hold down bolts, you will need to buy whichever your preference is.The fill valve was a bit loose and leaked. It just needed the nut to be tightened a bit. Be sure the check it.The toilet is has a strong sudden flush. It would take allot to clog it. There is not much water running down from the rim to clean the bowl, but it's usually enough. The flush water enters at the bottom in a big rush to push the sides through.Look and finish are good. This is the second of these I bought, so yes I would buy again.
