I purchased this mirror specifically for travel. I loved it when I first got it. It was just what I needed to apply makeup as I am nearsighted and over 40. I travel about once a month for 4 days. I purchased this mirror in February. During my trip in July, I noticed that the light was not as bright as on the past. I thought that it just needed to be recharged. I recharged it on my return home. When I took my trip in August, for a very special occasion, the lights were almost imperceptible. The mirror was fully charged. I was very disappointed and struggled to apply my makeup and put in my contacts. I am now looking for a new travel mirror. I really liked this one.UPDATE: while shopping for a replacement travel mirror, I figured out what I was doing wrong!!I am So Happy!The brightness of the light is adjustable!! By holding down the power button, you can adjust the strength of the light shining around the mirror. Silly me! But now I don’t have to search anymore!This mirror is a keeper!

I have bought and returned so many travel mirrors, I can't count. I wanted one side regular and the other side magnified for close work. Very simple. Very popular back in the old days. Today, most of them have this silly little round 10x mirror that sticks onto the regular mirror for the magnification. Those are HORRIBLE!!! First of all, they're too small. Secondly, 10x is WAAAY to close and you have to get so close to the mirror, you can't see what you're doing! Others do not have the magnifier side lit at all. I don't like the 'compact' mirrors..all 10x magnification and small. I finally found this mirror and it has everything I want! It's large enough for travel or for home. The lighting is perfect and has the usual 3 choices. I like that it doesn't use batteries and I can charge it and/or bring the cord and a USB outlet plug to use. And best of all, the other side is just as big and is only 5x magnified, so I can see close without having to practically put my nose on the mirror! I like this so much, I'm going to buy a second one for use at home/and a backup, because it was so rare in the sea of travel mirrors available out there! If I had one negative, it would be that there's no case for it and I'll have to figure out what to use to protect the mirror. But then most of them don't come with one anyway.

I bought this makeup mirror to put in my motorhome and to use it when I am on vacation’s. I previously have bought 3 other types of makeup mirrors . They just weren’t very good. Then I bought this one and wow was I impressed. This makeup mirror is amazing. It is so clear and the light’s are nice and bright. . It’s easy to set up to use and the different lighting is also great. This mirror is far superior compared to all the ones I’ve purchased before. I definitely recommend buying this if you want good quality , brightness and easy to travel with. You could also use this as your makeup mirror at home as well. You won’t be disappointed with this one.

A lot of reviews mention the light dims after time. I’ve used my mirror A LOT, and it still charges well and stays brightly lit for at least an hour, probably longer. The light will dim, IF you hold your finger on the power button, then will become brighter when you hold it again. This may be the problem for a lot of users.The thing I don’t love, is the magnifier only works when I have it super close to my face. I wish I could use the magnifier feature at a distance. I can’t see the skin at the back of my jawline clearly at all, nor anything further down than my chin. And that is when I’m wearing my glasses. It’s a good thing I don’t use it to put on eye makeup, because it wouldn’t help at all.

I bought this travel mirror two years ago for traveling. I’ve only used it probably eight times and it quit working. There is no way to contact the manufacturer because there’s no listing or 800# for a China based company- naturally. I liked everything about its design but thought it would last longer than a few uses. I will not be buying a travel mirror from Amazon because once past the warranty they won’t do anything.

I use this mirror a lot!! Good !! it has several levels of light, I like the bright daylight so I can see what I’mDoing. It turns on for a week or two then I need to charge. Doesn’t hold a charge long for barely using it daily. The 10x is wayyyy to much I prob only use that when I need to pluck a hair but that’s about it.

We are snowbirds in our RV, so I was looking for something to replace my wall-mounted unit at home that I am used to using. This works great! I use it nearly every day and have only had to recharge it once in 3 months. My only complaint is that it really shows fingerprints and they are difficult to get off with window cleaner. It requires some legitimate scrubbing with the paper towel. Also, I wish the on/of/dimmer control and base was on the magnifying side, since that is the side that I usually use. If the control and base was on that side, there would not be so many finger prints on it from me flipping the base around. It doesn't dim when the charge is running out. It just starts shutting off, which I think is a great feature. If it got dim gradually, you wouldn't notice it until it got very dim and would be using it with less than ideal light for several days without even realizing it. So I would rather the brightness remain the same and have it just shut off. Otherwise, I love it. It's plenty bright, compact, and the charge lasts a long time.

I’m at the age that I need a magnifying mirror to put on my makeup, this is perfect for travel when there isn’t one in the room! Sits in the table nicely and the light is perfect!

Just what I needed, excellent, also useful if you want to hang it higher up on door handle

The mirror is great, the lights work great. But if you sit at a table with the mirror folded you can't see your face.
