When I received this, I couldn't understand how to get the belt part around the dog. Until I realized I'm an idiot.The belt part goes around YOUR belt, and the leash is attached. Duh.No instructions were included.Now that we are enjoying the hands-free leash ( you might have expected I would have surmised this from that description), I find it to be a very well made, strong and excellent product, for which I would have paid more money had I not been offered it at a reduced rate in exchange for my honest review. I rely on Amazon reviews when I buy and I would never accept money to review a product, so you can be sure that I am telling you the truth that these are my honest thoughts on the leash.Another person wrote that their leash wasn't "springy" and more like a rope, but mine was springy inside the canvas exterior.They seem to send random colors as mine was blue, which we like.The hardware is really strong, not that zinc stuff they try to pass off from China.I feel we will be using this 5 years down the line. So my princess aka the beast was severely abused before I got her so I give her a lot of leeway when it comes to her "issues." She loves people but doesn't do well with other dogs. While only 55 lbs my neighbor jokes that she should be towing a wagon. Walking her gives me anxiety since its inevitable we will encounter multiple dogs living in a condo complex. For once, I feel like I'm actually walking her or we'll just call it that since it's such an improvement. While the belt is great I don't rely on that solely. The majority of the time I use the handle although it's still attacked to my waist(which is perfect when cleaning up dog mess or taking a phone call, making it the ultimate hands free. The strength of the leash is unlike anything I've ever used (and I've seriously used every kind of leash, harness, gentle leader, you name it. She still pulls and I accept that she always will but this has really been a game changer and quite possibly lessened the likelihood of dislocating my arm trying to hold her back when she gets in a "red zone" I'll update if anything changes but so far so good!

I'm not very small around the waist and this fit me! I've seen other leashes like this where people complain the the lead on the leash is too short, but this one is long! Gives your dog plenty of lead to move around while walking with you, he or she probably won't even need to stretch the elastic bungee part of it. It feels of good quality. I need to be hands free with pushing my double stroller, so this was a great solution for the pup to come with us.
