Excellent replacement
I have an event grill which at this point is 'vintage'. I bought it at Sams Club about 20 years ago. This season, I uncovered it for the summer grill season, and it sputtered, spit and barely got hot. I figured it was time for it to go off to grill heaven. When I saw the price of the replacement equivalent, I decided to rethink and resurrect the old one.I bought replacement burners and heat plates from Amazon... still nothing. Running out of ideas, I figured I'd replace the two hoses. I bought one as a test, and that fixed the one side. So, instead of spending $600 on a replacement grill, I had about $80 in the parts to bring the old one grill back to life. As a bonus, this one has a tank gauge, so I know when it is running out of propane.

Less likely to break, gauge is added plus
I turned on my grill the other day, but it wouldn't light. Turned out the rubber hose was broken nearly in half. Best guess is grease dripped on it, and some animal chewed it.That won't happen with this: I can't imagine any animal chewing the steel braid. I could have gotten a cheaper braided one, but the gauge this one comes from solved another problem: knowing when the tank is empty. Yes, you can weigh the tank, but I don't bring a scale outside to do that, and lifting it gives only a rough idea. Two problems solved!

Gauge is nice
The gauge is nice to have but couldn’t attach and hang under on my Weber. Had to turn sideways .

The gauge seems to be pretty accurate.
I needed a new regulator for my grill and I bought this one for the gauge. Have you ever had food on the grill and went inside while it was cooking, then came out to find it wasn't cooking after all because you ran out of gas? I have and it sucks.Regulators are all pretty much the same so the gauge is what sets this one apart. When the needle was just touching the red I weighed my cylinder. The tare weight stamped on the cylinder was 16.6 lbs and the scale showed it weighed just under 17 lbs, so very near empty. I'd say the gauge is pretty accurate.Oh and it's got that snazzy metal wrapped hose instead of a drab old rubber one!

500 on a 310E.
This regulator was purchased for my 2 year 4 months old Weber 310E. After all the cleaning to make sure the gas was flowing, and air screens were clear a 200-degree max temp was all I could get. Reset the regulator 3 times and tested to a max of 200 degrees. The Weber warranty was only good for 2 years, this stinks for a 650.00 grill. We owned a Weber 210 for 8 years before this 310 and never had this problem. Ordered this GasSaf Regulator with the braided line and tank gauge and within 20 minutes from install heating test reached over 500 degrees. Good price, quality and shipped fast.

Leaked!
Had this less than a year and it leaked between the propane connector & pressure gauge. That could be a disaster waiting to happen!

Possum Proof
High quality fittings, accurate gauge and the metal clad hose is vermin proof.
