This glue worked beautifully for my bookbinding project. It has a smooth consistency, dries clear, and holds strong without warping the paper or cover. I used it on a leather-bound edition and it bonded well with both paper and leather. The nozzle allowed for precise application, which was a huge plus. Highly recommend for crafters or anyone doing DIY book repairs.

For most of my life I have done bookbinding with yes paste. My yes paste turned into a solid rock and I decided to try this. I have already done two books and I do not miss the yes! This is got a really nice body it's easy to spread but not too runny it dries really quickly and it does a wonderful glue spine. I'm really really happy I'm going to use it for everything. My only complaint would be that mine didn't come with a cap which... Maybe it wasn't supposed to

Great and strong acid-free PVA glue. It is a liquid paste that is semi-flexible (think if Elmer's glue but professional strength while being pH-neutral so that it resists yellowing). I have used this as part of the materials to hold together a rebound book with a split spine and adding a new cover. Holds up well on paper, cardboard, fabric, and leather when using the right amount. Glue can be watered down if too thick, but there is some mastering needed for this accepted technique. Pairs great with a paper folding/scoring tool, and cleans up with water before drying. Looking forward to seeing how it holds up over the years.Only downside is the nozzle clogs, but more importantly has stored well when not in use.

I was looking for book binding glue and it was what I ordered. I like this glue and you get a lot of it!Some notes depending on your project is it is a flexible glue and has a sticky feel when dried - not very sticky just not smooth. I was using it for mini book binding for display (not actually functional) where I would glue the spine and want it to be more flexible and then put a very thing layer on the outer pages while clamped shut to keep the books closed. Alone the glue for my preference for display only mini books, it was too flexible so I mixed it 50/50 with tacky glue and it gave the perfect flexibleness and stiffness and texture. For the second part of thin glue on the outer pages it works I just didn't like the texture for display purposes - it has a more tacky feel when dried. SO I would not use it on visible parts of a project unless that's what your going for. Super awesome and seller shipped quickly highly recommend having in your stash of glues!

I don't often find that an Amazon purchase has changed my life, but that is true of Lineco Books by Hand pH Neutral PVA Adhesive. I found it as I searched for an archival quality glue to use on the spines of several worthless but beloved school books, signed and mistreated by my relatives over a century ago. I was about to buy the smallest bottle I could, but I reconsidered when I saw the better bargain on the 16-ounce bottle. That was when it occurred to me that a woman who owns thousands of books, many found in second-hand stores, was going to find plenty of uses for this product. I was so right! Now, instead of ~ don't judge me! ~ taping favorite old paperbacks together, I run a line of PVA down errant pages, which then hold and flex as if they had never strayed. My children's books are renewed and ready to entertain another generation. I have also found this product useful as I conserve family history records and memorabilia , and create biographical notebooks. And one last positive: I am the clumsiest person I ever knew or heard of, but even I haven't managed to make a mess with this adhesive. During this 2020 pandemic, I've used Elmer's glue nearly every day to seal envelopes instead of licking them, and I always struggle to make the glue flow ~ and then to make it stop ~ and then to clean up the mess on my mail, desk, and hands. That hasn't happened with this Lineco adhesive, and when I do use a little too much, it cleans quickly and easily. I couldn't be more pleased.

I bought this glue to adhere fabric the papier mache boxes I am building since it is designed for book binding. It is truly amazing. It is not watery like other pages, and a little goes a long way. It does not bleed through the fabric, and creates an excellent bond. I have also used it on paper to paper projects and it does not cause wrinkling or bubbling. Very happy with this glue - will be trying it with leather to paper for journals next. I am sure it will be just as incredible as it is with fabric.
