For Scrum Masters new and old, this should be requisite reading.
There are many books that talk about the Scrum process and the roles of the Scrum Master, but rarely do you see a book that explains what is really involved and gives clues how to do it. Geoff's book covers the gamut of skills and situations that a Scrum Master needs to work with and in. I particularly like the theme through the book of, "A good Scrum Master.... A great Scrum Master ....".While this isn't a how-to step by step instruction manual, it does highlight ways situations can be dealt with and even for someone who has been in the industry for some time, I found tools and techniques I'd not come across before or knew little about. Even topics that I have heard about before, it was refreshing to have time to revisit them and re-evaluate my thoughts on them.Geoff writes in a very comfortable style and I personally found this an easy read. It was particularly useful that when referring to process or research he provides the references to them to allow you to do further investigation, without burdening the pages full of the detail in the book itself. He often demonstrates his points through a storytelling/fable approach (similar to The Five Dysfunctions of a Team) and then critiques what happened and why it was good or bad.For Scrum Masters new and old, this should be requisite reading.

Brilliant book
As quite an experienced scrum master, I’ve read lots of books on agile and scrum. This is up there with stuff done by Mike Cohn.Excellent read, digestible chapters with real world examples.Highly recommended.

Want to be part of a functional team, then read this book!
Fantastic! Whether you are a Project Manager, Business Analyst, Product Owner, Scrum Master or just a functional team member, this book is useful! Very useful! Clearly written, good examples and more importantly, this book is accurate! Although some may say that this depends on your workstyle and thought, there are very clear characteristics of a functional team, and these are described in here!

Crack open a scummaster and look inside!
This isnt a book for learning the framework like Essential Scrum: A Practical Guide... but instead offers practical working guidance backed up with useful stories about what "great" scrummasters do.As a supporting book for scrum masters or an insight into their workings from, say, a Product Owners PoV then this is a really useful read!

Really useful
Brilliant. Lots of really useful ideas, approaches and thoughts on Scrum Mastery.Nicely formulated book which includes a: good scrum masters do this... Great scrum masters do this.... approach to describing how to be a good scrum master. The last book I ploughed through this quickly was a long time ago.I will cone back to this one over and over again.

Every chapter felt like a breath of fresh air and really endeared me ...
This is the first Agile Book I read that really went into Agile as a mindset rather than a process. Every chapter felt like a breath of fresh air and really endeared me to the profession early on in my Scrum Master role. I've seen you can do Scrum without being Agile, and this book is about the heart of Agile.

Very practical guide, great read.
Best scrum guide book I’ve read so far. Very practical instead of theoretical, if you’re trying to learn how to apply scrum in real life this book a help.

Great Book
This book is full of fantastic insights into how to be a great scrum master as opposed to just a good one. So many great examples from real life teams.

Best read for scrum masters and even project managers!
I have learned so much from this book! It's written in a concersational tone - like that of a mentor to a mentor - with relevant stories to emphasize learning points and help clearly define how the tools would be used with real world examples.Focusing on leading with empathy and transparency echoes the pillars and values of scrum, this book is an excellent guide to bringing your best self to a higher level.

My favorite to reflect myself as a SM and to onboard new colleagues in their SM accountability
This book is referenced from many well experienced Scrum Trainers like Roman Pichler from Scrum Alliance and Mike Cohn who owns a training Scrum company for many years. Also scrum.org references the work from Geoff for their Scrum learning path. I strongly recommend this book to all Scrum starters, practitioners and stakeholders who would like to understand the challenges and GREAT practices not only GOOD practices… after this book you will understand what a GREAT Scrum Master does in the challenging situations and what a great Scrum Master should avoid to be a great Servant Leader and companion for self-managing high-performance teams.

Alex / ITNOVE Barcelona
