I’m a big fan of this author’s writing and teaching style (I have his 320 SAT Problems books and ACT book). The organization of his books allows you to go right to the problems you need to focus on without wasting valuable time. There’s something I really like about this book in particular. After each question the author gives a quick straightforward solution, so if you understand the answer you can move right to the next question. But if you don't get it right away, the solution is followed by an extensive set of notes which gives a complete review of all the concepts used in the solution, walks you through the solution step by step, and gives additional methods for solving the problem.

Though slightly pricey for 209 pages of material but the content is a very valuable resource. It’s well organized and the problems are given in the order of their difficulty. There are some basic simple looking problems that are the cause for trepidation during the exams and are very worthy of review. It’s a very easy book with lengthy explanation of the solutions. The beauty of the problems are well worth the price.

I love the structure of this book. The way it slowly increases in difficulty level makes it easy to review everything without getting overwhelmed. And the explanations are really good. The way the author starts with a quick solution and then goes into more detail is perfect. It allows you to get through the problems you can do quickly and focus on the ones that you find harder. If you already know how to do basic derivatives you can skip over the Level 1 differentiation problems and get right to the problems that require more thought. And similarly for the other problem types.

I'm a math teacher brushing up on my AP Calculus so I can teach it next year. I find this book extremely confusing. The layout means it's hard to see the where the question is actually located because it's not in bold and so the page looks like an essay. I appreciate that they explain how to do the problems, but I really hate this book. I prefer the Kaplan AP prep book as it's much clearer and the questions are grouped better.
