EXCELLENT!
I read the "bad" reviews first, as is my MO, and went into this feeling skeptical. I followed the directions, and it worked FAR better than any expectations I had, which were low. I used it on a pair of off-white J. Crew, super cute, cargo pants that I had inadvertently placed on a pair of red pants. I had washed those red pants many times, never expecting them to continue "bleeding," but when I saw my off-white cargo pants, I almost screamed! There were red stains everywhere on those pants, and I was about to throw them out...but first I tried to bleach them. Absolutely nothing happened WITH BLEACH! Then I searched Amazon, this product popped up, and voila! Not a remnant of any red dye on those off-white cargo pants! Not a glimpse, not a hint, nothing. Like it never happened, as if I just bought those pants. So, please follow the directions - you might have better luck. You also need to use the hottest water possible - just FYI!!

So worth it!
I don’t think I’ve ever been more satisfied with an item thank with this right here. I don’t usually leave reviews but this honestly blew my mind! I had rewashed a couple of my baby clothes and somehow a pink item bled through some of the teals and white, this took the color bleeds right off. I freaked out a bit bc at first it changed my reals to a purple tone but once I rinsed it went back to the original color. Did not work well on a pink item turned it a peach color, so definitely do the spot test first. But it worked so well to get rid of the color runs. Will be buying more for future incidents.

Didn't take the pink out of my whites this time!
I don't know if they've changed the formula on this. I doubt it because it still smells the same sort of unpleasant chemically smell that it always used to. But I just accidentally washed some whites with one red thing and they all turned pink. I didn't dry them. I just bought six of these as I normally would. They came the next day, so I was able to do a Color Run removal wash almost immediately after accidentally staining the items, which were still wet. And yet none of the color came out. I used all of them over two washes. It says you might have to repeat a wash to get all the color out, which I've never had to do before when I've made a mistake like this, but I bought enough to do two, and when it didn't come out the first time I did it a second time.Still not a drop of color was removed. I've given up and just accepted that the sheets for my guest bed are now going to be pink.I'm quite concerned, because this stuff always worked before, and I don't think I'm going to stop making this mistake every year or two. So if I can't rely on carbona, what am I going to use to get the pink out of my lighter colors when a red sock or something accidentally winds up in with the whites? I could always rely on carbona to take out the color run without harming the pattern on whatever it was I'd ruined. Apparently that is no longer the case.

Worked to a certain degree, but will take at least one more pass
The thing that startled me the most was that the instructions called for *2* packages of this Color Run Remover. Perhaps I was thinking of soaking something in a basin, rather than treating a whole front loader washing machine's worth. So for that reason, I'll deduct a star of two from the "value for the money". But it worked well enough that I'll buy a couple more packages and try it again.

Removes color bleed
After soaking a Black & White sweater and a maroon lace slip in the same bin with an oxygen product, the maroon from the slip bled into the white stripes of my favorite sweater. I was bummed, did some research & heard this product could help. It was affordable so I gave it a try. It worked as promised, removing all traces of the maroon from the white areas, although it also faded the black stripes of the sweaters to a dark gray-like color. That said, it still looks great & is wearable and given the sweater was stripes I’m not sure how it could’ve worked without color fade on the black...so if you have an issue with an unfortunate color bleed is definitely recommend this!

Didn't work and takes 3 boxes to follow instructions unless you hand wash
I've never tried Carbona before so I had no idea what to expect, but was disappointed to see it didn't work even a little. To be fair, the instructions said to use 3 packs/boxes if using the washer instead of hand washing so I used 1/3rd the level of water since it was only a couple of shirts. So perhaps that's why it didn't work. Still, I gave it 3 stars because they should have made it more clear that I should be buying 3 boxes in which case I wouldn't have wasted my money even trying. It also has a gross smell, but I guess that's to be expected.

Saved a $150 polo hoody. Highly recommended.
I waashed a very expensive, multi-colored polo hoodie without reading the label. The instructions said cold water, i used hot. The navy from the inside of the hood bled through all around the seam. The hood is yellow! So i had a green lining all around the hood. I was devastated. I immediately started searching for a replacement hoody but Polo items are a one and done exclusive. I searched everywhere and nobody had one except a couple on eBay and other platforms that weren't my size and were priced at double retail. (Of course). So I did a little more research and found this item. Purchased the smallest box and followed directions precisely as I was afraid of completely destroying the colors of my hoody. Turns out, it worked amazingly. I even think it made the yellow brighter. Now, PERHAPS I COULD have just re-washed the item and it would have corrected the bleeding issue anyway?? but I was in no position to try only for the issue to worsen. I cannot guarantee that it indeed 100% was the product but I truly believe that it was. Either way, when dealing with precious garments it doesn't hurt to try this product instead of hoping another wash will fix the issue when it might only make it wirse.Regardless, 5 stars and would definitely purchase again if a similiar crisis arose.
