Excellent quality.
It works very well. A little not accurate, but components are very well recognized ! I upgraded it with a step up Buck DC converter to have it works with a 5 DC USB (to 9 DC). Happy to help if you need details.

Does what it says
Fairly simple to build. Used to test capacitors in old valve record deck.

Techie's Dream Come True
Imagine blending precision with convenience. This little gizmo has been my go-to for testing all sorts of components around the house. From capacitors in my old record deck to the resistors in my daughter's science project, it does the job efficiently. The Zero Insertion Force socket's a nice touch, though be mindful of the battery life, keep a spare PP3 handy or go for an external PSU. Putting the case together is a tad fiddly but manageable, and stick-on feet wouldn't go amiss to save my desk from vicious scratches. Despite these quirks, this thing's a champ at identifying components, plucking out dodgy capacitors, and even showing neat pictograms of components on the display. It's not just a gadget; it’s practically a family member in our home's tech cabinet! For the thrifty engineer or the DIY enthusiast, this is hard to beat.

It works really well for troubleshooting circuits
Great value little device. I used it to pinpoint dodgy caps in a circuit. Once located, I removed them to test again and then replaced them. Works a treat, as does the circuit now! You can actually get the firmware online from Git, and probably (not tried yet) mess with the code.

Parts analyser with case
An amazing little thing. So handy for testing parts and finding values

This time its a no no!
Had one of these for years it was great one day it stoped working after a lot of usage and accurately measuring all sorts of components. So bought a new one and it would not work correctly at all and failed to realise and measure the components I was testing. 5 stars for the old one 1 star for the last one.Hopefully it was just this one.

Will not find a germanium transistor
For the money it is is not too bad. However, it will not find a germanium transistor.Seems Ok with silicon.

Better than I expected
This has come in quite handy for quickly checking components for my projects.Battery life isn't great, but operation is easy despite the Zero Insertion Force Socket handle clashing with the cutout in the case. It seems reasonably accurate in use. Case is a bit fiddly to put together and you have to take it apart to change the battery so that tiresome experience isn't going to be a one off.It could do with some feet too as the exposed screws will scratch most desk surfaces, nylon screws would have worked so much better, or just include some stick on feet!Even so, I like it. recommended for the hobbyist.

item, and subsequent replacement both came with broken screens. Packaging is not sufficient.
I ordered this item once. It arrived with a broken screen. Device powered up, but lower part of the screen did not work. I ordered a replacement - surprise! - broken screen again (photo). This time with crystal bleeding. AVOID!

Good if you can get one that works.
