Storycraft, Second Edition: The Complete Guide to Writing Narrative Nonfiction (Chicago Guides to Writing, Editing, and Publishing)

I don’t know what to do about reordering this book if all the second edition is missing pages. I have heard the first edition is very good.

If I edited the book, I would cut 12th grade level prose and needless repetition. I would get a little more practical and include more structure diagrams. Nonetheless, thank you for a very helpful work.

Jack Hart is one of the best and his revised Story Craft is still a go-to book for writers.

A serious, approachable, unpatronizing entree to writing creative/narrative nonfiction. Chock full of good insights and helpful quips from a wide variety of authors. Love the wide range of applicable examples given that takes into account new media such as podcast and documentary storytelling. The best, most thorough, and approachable book I've read on this subject--having read quite a few.

Worth a daily read, chapter by chapter.

I was hopping to have a hardcopy version of the book to headline, write notes, etc, but the letters are too small to read, too much information packed into each page, no "breathing room", stick to the kindle version.

The media could not be loaded.  This was for a gift so it was frustrating to receive it this way with not one but multiple very large creases on the front and back, and not enough time to do an exchange/return etc…

I thought this was a book about a boat, a craft if you will, called "Story."Disappointed to find this was not about boats AT ALL!
