Caldwell Ballistic Precision LR Target Camera System with 1 Mile Range, HD Video and Waterproof Construction for Outdoor, Long Range, Shooting and Hunting

Even with a high-end spotting scope, it was hard to see hits at our 1 mile target. Set this up with clear line of sight and it works perfectly. The camera is placed 8 feet away, and the live image on an iPad is great. The ability to record video and still photos with the app is easy and really convenient.

The camera system worked for 3 months and then the transmitter stopped producing a WiFi signal making the product unusable.

It worked on first try out to 800 yards. The batteries in both units lasted over 6 hours which is handy when you don't want to make the range go cold when shooting with a bunch of friends. The camera mount broke half way through the day but Caldwell customer service was quick to agree to send a replacement camera mount - still waiting on that to come in. The carry bag is very nice.

bought two of these for the price they are great. Camera is a little on the lower end but for the price it is worth it. easy to set up had it working in about five minutes. Someone commented on tripods being cheap, they are actually pretty nice for what you are paying. I would recommend this product given the price and ease of use. The four ratings (would have given a 4.5) is due to the camera quality and a little bug in recording software in the app. took seconds to connect with phone after app was installed. Do not forget to select the wifi connection once the app is installed.

This set arrived as advertised. I just finally got a chance to set it up. Everything was straight forward and easy to set up. I set up the camera and sending unit (transmitter) on the target line of a new 2,400 yard range that we will be shooting soon. The picture stayed on my tablet until approx 1,400 yards with just the transmitter on, no receiver. When I arrived at the firing line 2,400 yards I turned on the receiver and got a clear picture. This is a distance of approx 640 yards further than the 1 mile range that is advertised. Mu shooting buddies are impressed and plan on buying the product. Once that I have shot on it I'll report the clarity and the ability to see the bullet holes.

I haven't tried it out to 1000yds yet but so far the device works flawlessly. My only gripe is the available Apps for it do not track shots but other than that it could not be easier to set up and use. The transmitter, camera and receiver worked perfectly with no communication hassles at all. The picture was clear and I could easily see 22 caliber holes. I should get to test it at 1000yds or more in the next week or so. Max range tested so far is ~200yds.

Excellent system. Great carry bag. Camera clamp broke on first squeeze. Had a good camera tripod which works better to mount the camera and allows better set up so receiver is farther away and camera can be aligned on side of target more carefully. Of course, this means hauling an extra item.) . Can use a table top tripod for the receiver on the shooting bench. Supplied tripods are for lights and are good but flimsy. Practiced setting up and pairing in my 75-yard field to get the hand of it first. Used at 600 yards today at the range for .223 service rifle on shoot-and-see targets and it worked great. Saw all 27 shots on reactive bullseye target but could not see missed shots on cardboard since it is dark and the contrast is low. Had no luck pairing with my kindle but it works on iphone 5c that I had in a drawer from a few years ago. Software is good enough. Batteries last many hours (I used for 2.5 hours). If not for the clamp this would be a 5 star. Will shoot at 1000 yards with 6.5 creedmoor in a few weeks and will update. Remember to align camera to keep sun flare from lens.

Received this as a gift in the dead of winter. Didn't get a chance to try it out for a few weeks. Out of the box the cheap plastic clamp was broke. Had to figure out a different option. Wouldn't connect without several toys. Picture sucks. Contacted Amazon reseller and was told they would not return the product as it was out of the 30 day return policy. Contacted Caldwell to get a new clamp. They informed ne the clamps are on backorder with no time frame.I will never buy from this reseller again and I'll never buy another Caldewll product. Terrible support and cheap junk product.
