You might be like me and could have an episode of heartburn from eating just about ANYTHING. You might also be like me in the sense that you're sick of taking Tums for it - nasty, chalky, bad flavors, etc. Plus, who wants to brush their teeth again at 3AM to get the sugar off their teeth after popping a few?That's not to mention the risk of erosion of the esophagus that can be caused by stomach acid coming up. That might even contribute to the risk of esophageal cancer - REALLY bad!This is just powdered calcium carbonate, the same active ingredient as found in most antacid tablets, except without the added sugar/sweetener and gross artificial flavoring.It readily mixes into water (or other liquids) without getting clumpy, just spoon some into your fluid of choice and briefly stir. Even just in water, the flavor is nearly imperceptible, with only a slight, not unpleasant mineral taste and minimal chalkyness compared to chewing an antacid. I just drink a little plain water afterwards and get back to what I was doing without the nausea-inducing, lingering flavor of artificial mint or cherry in my mouth.As another plus, it seems to work much quicker than an antacid tablet, since it is already suspended in liquid and mixes with stomach acid quickly.The only caveat is not to take too much at once, since the calcium reacting with your stomach acid creates foaming and gas as a byproduct, and can make you feel bloated and make food take longer to digest. These symptoms are nearly nonexistent if you take the recommended dosage, adding small amounts depending on your needs and then severity of your heartburn.I'm definitely a convert and I'm done buying Tums for good.

I have started using this as a toothpaste since I couldn't find Pepsodent anymore, and it was the least offensive to my allergies, as most modern toothpastes add all sorts of flavors and other chemicals (who knows the side effects of them) to try to make your breath smell wonderful and make your teeth a pearly white, and make them outlast the rest of you. Forget the hype, this for me makes a better toothpaste than all of them!

I purchased this after watching a few videos on the Tube because I wanted to make my own chalk paint for furniture. It worked very well. I took a break from doing furniture, but I plan to get back into it soon. I will be purchasing this again to continue making my own chalk paint because it saves me a ton of money and I can make as much chalk paint in as many colors as I want.

Perfect for what I need it for. Good value should be long-lasting. We'll see how well it tastes when I make toothpaste

As recommend by pet owners, I used these for my exotic birds. Easily blend with soft wet or dry food for them. Shinny beaks and feather molting seasons were so much easy! Definitely get their needs for natural calcium from lime or rocks. Occasionally we used it for human drinks for added benefit too. Such a versatile product and good consistansy.

This is good if you want calcium carbonate powder and just that- simple powder. Nothing fancy and nothing else. Ive used it, I use it when I feed my chickens and dog as well if I feel like there isnt enough bone in his meal. Dog does not complain. Chickens never complain about anything so not a good measure. I Myself notice nothing bad or wrong and feel pretty good about the value proposition.

I got this for use in a Snello recipe (snail jello) as snails and shrimp alike benefit from a high calcium diet, but they need it without the vitamin D that other human forms usually include for maximum absorption. For use in my aquatic snail food this is exactly what I needed. For use as a human supplement : I was worried about quality because as I said vitamin D is needed for maximum calcium absorption in humans and I questioned the motive of a company selling it without, (ex. glucosamine sold without chondroitin is much cheaper & you see it on store shelves all of the time, but one is typically useless without the other) but the bottle clearly indicates that the supplement should be taken in addition to vit D, which made me more comfortable with the assumption that this company recognizes the need for individual supplements to be sold in separate forms so that doses can be custom blended, etc.
