Very nice quality and heavy-duty adjustable bracket
I bought this not for a door barricade, but to hang a climbing hang board off my adult son's weight rack. I'd looked at various square brackets, but most were very thin steel not strong enough for this purpose. I decided heavy steel door barricade brackets were the way to go. The metal frame of the rack was too large for a standard barricade bracket, but this adjustable one worked perfectly. I was able to mount these brackets on a 2x12 I I'd previously secured the climbing hang board to, and adjusted the brackets for a secure fit on the upper part of the weight rack frame. The entire assembly can simply be lifted off the rack when it's not in use. Heavy steel, precisely made and finished, with all the necessary installation hardware included. A little pricey compared to a standard barricade bracket, but worth the money if you need one that is fully adjustable.

Sturdy and useful
A valuable way to make it less likely that anyone would ever again break into my house via my outward-opening Pella patio doors. Most ways of securing doors apply only to inward-opening doors.

Great quality hardware, solid when assembled well.
Parts are easy to install with the proper hand tools; center punch, measuring tape, drill w/ 1/16" drill bit (pilot) and #2 Philips driver, strait-edge, level, pencil and eraser, and microfiber cloth to gap the 2x4. Premeasure the width of the door frame and add 4" overlap (2" ea side.) Get a 2x4 cut to length at your local hardware store. A sawed off fiberglass rake stick or similar can make for a study baton to stage in case of an attempted breach.

Worth every penny. Used for exterior barn doors into lanai for extra security or hurricanes.
I bought two different sets. This expandable set is used for the double barn doors to secure 20ft 2x4 painted black that I can put in place to secure the door when I am out of town or during a hurricane. The second set is above the door I use to store the board when not in use. It frames the door like its a design element.

I used these to make a folding patio desk
I’m confident that these would fit on most patio railings as clamps (not the thin metal bar kind though). I was a bit nervous that the adjustment screws might slip, but after several weeks and a fair amount of weight put on the table they haven’t. I’m very satisfied with this product.

Extra security for classroom
I purchased these brackets and installed them on the inside of my classroom door after we had a lockdown and two of my teenage male students had to help hold the door closed against a potential threat because the door lock wouldn’t engage. Installing these extremely strong brackets to hold the door shut with a length of four by four board will prevent anyone intent on hurting my students from getting to the room. Easy installation, easy to use, extremely strong, and well worth the price, especially to save lives.

Reasonable but awkward
Seemed like a good idea for adjustable gate security. The hardware was a bit awkward, with tiny screws to adjust the width. It faired ok, but didn't hold up well to the strong winds here, and came loose. Also, the adjustment wasn't narrow enough to use a 2x4. I had to use a 4x4 and it made it more bulky than I hoped. After a couple weeks, ended up removing and getting a generic gate bracket.
