I needed to record some only LPs to my computer to transfer the old technology to new technology. This device proved to be easy to use and the sound quality was excellent! Very plaeased!

Had lots of trouble
I have a high quality record player. I got it hooked up to my computer. You may need to also buy a cord with male ends as it comes with female connectors. I recorded several albums but the sound quality was poor. If the volume was up there was a lot of hiss and hum. If the volume was down you could barely hear the recording. This all was time consuming and frustrating. The software is open source that has dozens of control icons on the screen. Many don’t mean anything to me. Some don’t respond to arrow clicks. None improved the sound quality.

Came without a CD-ROM.
Instructions state to load the CD-ROM but there is none to load. Totally unuseable so back to Amazon it goes.

Working very well. Does need to be connected to a phono pre-amp.
Does exactly what I bought it for. Thanks to other reviewers’ feedback, I knew I would also need to match this with a phono pre-amp, to give it a strong enough input signal. It worked well with two different pre-amps.BTW, the Audacity firmware is open-source freeware. It is not a part of what you are buying, but it definitely makes this device very useful.
