Perfect lil mini fridge!
I've had this for a few months now, I purchased this for my birth control. And it has worked perfectly, it stays cold with no problems, it's easy to use (all you do is plug it in and flip a switch!), and it's quiet too!

Attractive, but subpar cooling and short lifespan
Bought this fridge for an elderly patient in an ALF who needed to keep a few things cool.It looked nice, was easy to position anywhere, and was pretty quiet... however it didn't ever get really cold, and its lifespan turned out to be very short.Unit failed within three months: beyond the Amazon return window, but still covered by manufacturer warranty, so I had to reach out to the company that makes them (Curtis). While the warranty states that the customer is responsible for "all costs associated with returning the product to us", in reality, the company asked me to complete a "field destroy" procedure in order to receive a refund or a replacement. That entailed sending a lot of pictures and information to start the process, then cutting the power cord, removing the serial number and model number, defacing the unit with the RMA number, and sending more pictures of the destroyed item.... and then taking it to the local solid waste management district transfer station to dispose of it.The company was responsive and helpful, but could not say whether I would be issued a refund (which I preferred) or a replacement (which I definitely didn't want after all of this). Ultimately, Curtis came through with a refund, as I had hoped, but it took weeks to arrive via paper check. The company was polite and communicative, but it was lot of timeconsuming busywork to go through for a low-cost item ... and sadly more landfill garbage.

Works But Fan Is Cheap and Whiny
I mean it works and looks nice, but quite honestly when they said in the marketing material that it's quiet, I expected it to actually be quiet. Sure, I expect something with a fan running full speed constantly to have a rush of air sound, but a better quality fan really isn't going to cut into the profit margin that much. I'm not going to bother with returning it, and I'll use it, but I'm going to modify it by putting a high quality CPU case fan in there that's designed to move a lot of air as quietly as possible. The main problem is the whine of the motor. There should be better safety mechanisms on these for the price. For instance, people complaining about these things stopping working and/or burning out prematurely are experiencing things like power supply failures that will surely let the fan turn on and make you think it's working, but there is no power to the Peltier panel...or a failure of the cooling fan causing the Peltier panel to overheat and melt the various electronic components -- like the switch for instance. There is no reason on earth that these shouldn't come with a rather cheap thermal switch to prevent this, also which would not cut into the profit margin much. One other thing that is not necessary is for the device to be constantly powered on. Basic thermostats aren't very expensive or complicated, and would not cut into the profit margin much. Maybe comparable to a few less cocktails per month per executive.I'll do some mods to it myself to get it really up to something I would call a safe, dependable cooler. It looks good though...has just enough room for all my drinks and chocolate syrup and what not.

I use this at work and it keeps my diet cokes ice cold. Super thankful for this low power “fridge” option.
